Monte Morris MIN PG
Timberwolves' Monte Morris: Exits with finger injury
8h agoMorris won't return to Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets due to a right index finger sprain.
Morris left the game in the second half and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the matchup. He logged eight minutes prior to departing, so his absence shouldn't impact Minnesota's rotation much.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Helped to locker room
8h agoJackson exited Monday's Game 2 against the Timberwolves with an apparent left ankle injury, Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports reports.
Jackson exited the contest with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and considering the deficit Denver faced when he left, it seems unlikely that he'll return. He'll be considered day-to-day until the team provides additional details on his status.
-
Jalen Brunson NY PG
Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Shines again in Game 1 victory
10h agoBrunson ended with 43 points (14-26 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 14-14 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one block over 43 minutes in Monday's 121-117 win over Indiana in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Brunson once again did it all for New York in a winning effort, leading all players in Monday's Game 1 in scoring while finishing with a perfect mark from the free-throw line to go along with a half-dozen rebounds and assists in an all-around performance. Brunson has taken his game to the next level of late, posting four straight games with 40 or more points. New York's success rides on the performance of Brunson, and he will continue to be a focal point for the team for as long as the Knicks can push their playoff run.
-
Donte DiVincenzo NY SG
Knicks' Donte DiVincenzo: Leader from deep in 25-point Game 1
10h agoDiVincenzo notched 25 points (10-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three rebounds, two blocks and one assist over 44 minutes in Monday's 121-117 win over Indiana in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
DiVincenzo put on a show from deep in Monday's victory, leading all players in the game in threes made while ending as one of three Knicks with 20 or more points. DiVincenzo, who also recorded a team-high pair of blocks, posted his highest point total of the postseason and has tallied 20 or more points in two straight outings. DiVincenzo has found success from deep of late, connecting on five threes in back-to-back games.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Nears triple-double in Game 1 win
10h agoHart tallied 24 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 13 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and one block over 48 minutes in Monday's 121-117 win over Indiana in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Hart did a little bit of everything for New York to boost the team to a Game 1 victory, leading all players in Monday's contest in rebounds and assists to go along with a team-high trio of steals and coming up two dimes shy of a triple-double. Hart has seen a heavy amount of playing time so far this postseason, resulting in tallying a double-double in four of his seven playoff contests. Hart, who posted his highest point total of the playoffs, has surpassed the 20-point mark on four occasions.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Quiet offensively in Game 1 loss
10h agoHaliburton posted six points (2-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), eight assists, four steals and two rebounds over 36 minutes in Monday's 121-117 loss to New York in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Haliburton had a quiet performance offensively in the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, though he still impacted the game in other ways, including by leading the Pacers in assists and steals despite failing to reach double figures in scoring. Haliburton posted his lowest point total of the postseason thus far, failing to reach double digits for the second time in seven playoff contests. Haliburton has been dealing with back spasms, and that may have affected his performance Monday.
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Leading scorer in Game 1 defeat
10h agoTurner tallied 23 points (8-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 35 minutes in Monday's 121-117 loss to New York in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Turner did all he could to help Indiana to a road victory in Game 1 against New York, leading the club in scoring to go along with a team-high-tying pair of threes while ending as the lone Pacer with 20 or more points in the losing effort. Turner bounced back well after a pair of low-scoring outings in the final two games of the first-round series, posting his fourth game of the postseason with at least 20 points. Indiana will hope for a similar performance from Turner offensively in Game 2, and he may need to improve his presence on the glass to help the Pacers own the battle on the boards.
-
Rudy Gobert MIN C
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: To miss Game 2
12h agoGobert (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Gobert was added to the team's injury report earlier in the day due to a personal matter, and he's since been downgraded to out after Charania confirmed the birth of Gobert's first child. Look for Naz Reid, who put up 16 points in Game 1, and Kyle Anderson to see an increased workload in the frontcourt Monday night.
-
Victor Wembanyama SA C
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Brings home ROY honors
13h agoWembanyama (ankle) was named the 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Wembanyama was the clear favorite for this year's Rookie of the Year honors, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.6 blocks in 29.7 minutes per appearance over 71 games during his first NBA campaign. It's also worth noting that the 7-foot-4 center is one of three finalists for the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, which speaks to the monumental impact he had on both ends of the court this season for the Spurs.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Iffy for Game 1
15h agoAllen (ribs) is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics.
Allen averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes through the first four games of Cleveland's opening-round series versus the Magic. However, after taking a shot to the ribs from Franz Wagner, the Cavaliers' starting center was sidelined for the final three matchups. Allen was also listed as questionable ahead of all the games he missed, so the tag doesn't provide much optimism heading into the Eastern Conference Semifinals. If Allen gets the green light, he'll look to take advantage of a Boston frontcourt that'll be without Kristaps Porzingis (calf).
-
Rudy Gobert MIN C
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Late addition to injury report
19h agoGobert is questionable for Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets due to personal reasons.
Gobert's partner is due to give birth this month, per Jack Borman of Canius Hoopus, so that's likely the reasoning behind the big man missing the team's morning shootaround. Gobert has the full support of his team, and it's still possible he's able to return in time for the 10 p.m. ET tipoff. However, if Gobert is unavailable, Naz Reid, who had a stellar fourth quarter in Game 1, would be a candidate for increased minutes, but Karl-Anthony Towns would likely start at center.
-
Wendell Carter Jr. ORL C
Magic's Wendell Carter: Close to double-double in Game 7
1d agoCarter produced 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 106-94 loss to Cleveland in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Carter started each of Orlando's final five games of the series and scored in double digits in three of those starts, so it's safe to say he was an upgrade over Jonathan Isaac, who started at center in the first two contests. Across his five starts in the series, Carter averaged 8.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
-
Dean Wade CLE PF
Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Remains out
15h agoWade (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics.
Wade hasn't played since March 8 due to a right knee sprain. It's unclear if he'll get the green light at any point during the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but unless Cleveland provides an update, Wade can be considered day-to-day.
-
Evan Mobley CLE PF
Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Pulls down 16 boards in Game 7
1d agoMobley supplied 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist and five blocks over 41 minutes during Sunday's 106-94 victory over the Magic in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Mobley was forced to move to center due to the absence of Jarrett Allen (ribs), but the former delivered another solid performance down low, showing energy on the glass and an accurate touch near the rim. Mobley posted three double-doubles in the series against the Magic while scoring in double digits in all but one of his appearances. He should continue as Cleveland's starting center as long as Allen remains sidelined.
-
Paolo Banchero ORL PF
Magic's Paolo Banchero: Explodes for 38 points Sunday
1d agoBanchero had 38 points (10-28 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 15-18 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals in 42 minutes during Sunday's 106-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Banchero did everything in his power to keep the Magic alive in the playoffs, but even though his stat line was magnificent, the struggles of Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner were too much for Orlando to overcome, meaning Banchero couldn't carry the team to the next round on his own. Despite the early playoff exit, the series against the Cavaliers fully established Banchero as one of the league's up-and-coming superstars. He averaged 27.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.1 steals across 37.4 minutes per game.
-
Jonathan Isaac ORL PF
Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Won't start Game 7
2d agoIsaac won't start Sunday's Game 7 against the Cavaliers, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports.
With Gary Harris (hamstring) returning to the starting lineup after missing Game 6, Isaac will revert to a reserve role. Across three appearances off the bench during the opening-round series, Isaac has averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 19.3 minutes per game.
-
Marcus Morris CLE PF
Cavaliers' Marcus Morris: Back to bench
2d agoMorris won't start Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
With Jarrett Allen (hip) sidelined, Morris got a chance in the starting unit during Game 6 but finished with just two points (1-7 FG) and eight rebounds in 27 minutes during a disappointing loss. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff has reinserted Isaac Okoro into the starting lineup in place of Morris for the decisive Game 7. In Game 5, Morris came off the bench and posted 12 points (4-9 FG) in 26 minutes.
-
Franz Wagner ORL PF
Magic's Franz Wagner: Perfect from line in victory
3d agoWagner amassed 26 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 11-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 42 minutes during Friday's 103-96 win over the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Wagner went a perfect 11-of-11 from the line, helping the Magic to an impressive Game 6 victory. It was another strong performance by Wagner, who continues to develop into a key piece for Orlando. Game 7 will take place Sunday, with both teams vying for a second-round berth against the high-flying Celtics.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
-
Kyle Anderson MIN SF
Timberwolves' Kyle Anderson: Steps into starting five
11h agoAnderson will start Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets.
Anderson will take Rudy Gobert's (personal) spot in the starting lineup. Anderson didn't factor in much during Game 1, finishing with two points, two rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes of action. While Anderson is set to draw the start, look for Naz Reid to play a key role off the bench after dropping 14 points in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Game 1.
-
Olivier-Maxence Prosper DAL SF
Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Remains out for Game 1
19h agoProsper (ankle) won't play in Game 1 against the Thunder on Tuesday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
This will be the fifth game in a row on the shelf for Prosper, and he remains without a timetable for a return.
-
Isaac Okoro CLE SF
Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Back in starting lineup
2d agoOkoro will start Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
With Jarrett Allen (hip) out, Okoro started Cleveland's Game 5 win and posted eight points (2-10 FG), four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes. Okoro was replaced in the starting lineup by Marcus Morris for Game 6, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff has flipped them again ahead of Game 7. As a starter this season (43 games), Okoro has averaged 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 30.1 minutes per game.
-
Michael Porter Jr. DEN SF
Nuggets' Michael Porter: Leads from deep in 20-point Game 1
2d agoPorter finished with 20 points (6-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 40 minutes during Saturday's 106-99 loss to Minnesota in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Porter led all players in Saturday's contest in threes made while ending as one of two Nuggets with 20 or more points and adding a half-dozen rebounds in a losing effort. Porter has surpassed the 20-point mark in five straight playoff contests, connecting on four or more threes in three straight games.
-
Paul George LAC SF
Clippers' Paul George: Scores 18 points in Game 6 defeat
3d agoGeorge amassed 18 points (6-18 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 42 minutes during Friday's 114-101 loss to the Mavericks in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
George was asked to carry the Clippers offensively in the absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee), but he ended the series on a sour note, as he couldn't reach the 20-point mark in three of his last four appearances. In fact, George surpassed the 22-point mark just once in the six contests against the Mavericks, and his numbers throughout the series were disappointing. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point range. That marked a clear decline compared to his regular-season figures, and it might be fair to wonder if the Clippers are going to bring him back for 2024-25 or if they might look at potential trade options during the offseason.
-
Donte DiVincenzo NY SG
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Ruled out for Game 1
15h agoJerome (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against Boston.
Jerome hasn't suited up since late October due to ankle surgery. He'll remain sidelined to begin the Cavaliers' second-round series, and it's unclear when or if he'll be able to return during the playoffs.
-
Tim Hardaway Jr. DAL SG
Mavericks' Tim Hardaway: Available for Game 1
19h agoHardaway (ankle) will be available for Game 1 against the Thunder on Monday, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
This was the expectation when Hardaway made it through practices on Sunday and Monday. While this is great news for Dallas, it will be interesting to see how many minutes he's allotted because he's been struggling mightily with his shot.
-
Tim Hardaway Jr. DAL SG
Mavericks' Tim Hardaway: Goes through practice
19h agoHardaway (ankle) was spotted going through another practice Monday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
Hardaway also practiced on Sunday and continues to trend in the right direction. There should be additional clarity on his status for Game 1 against the Thunder on Tuesday when the Mavericks release their official injury report Monday evening.
-
Donovan Mitchell CLE SG
Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Carries Cleveland to Game 7 win
1d agoMitchell finished Sunday's 106-94 win over the Magic in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 39 points (11-27 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 15-17 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 45 minutes.
The Cavaliers needed Mitchell to step up and deliver a superstar performance in Game 7 against a rising Orlando team, and that's exactly what he accomplished with this outing. Mitchell had some ups and downs in the series but often stepped his game up when the Cavaliers needed him, something that will be even more noticeable against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Mitchell averaged 28.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in the first round while putting up at least 28 points in each of the last three contests.
-
Jalen Suggs ORL SG
Magic's Jalen Suggs: Awful shooting in playoff exit
1d agoSuggs closed Sunday's 106-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 10 points (2-13 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and one steal across 40 minutes.
Suggs didn't have a good series against the Cavaliers and failed to operate as the third scoring option the Magic desperately needed at times. He reached the 15-point mark in just two of the seven games and averaged 14.7 points on a mere 40.2 percent mark from the floor. Despite the playoff woes, Suggs' role as a starter for the Magic next season shouldn't be in question.
-
Monte Morris MIN PG
Timberwolves' Monte Morris: Exits with finger injury
8h agoMorris won't return to Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets due to a right index finger sprain.
Morris left the game in the second half and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the matchup. He logged eight minutes prior to departing, so his absence shouldn't impact Minnesota's rotation much.

Jackson exited the contest with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and considering the deficit Denver faced when he left, it seems unlikely that he'll return. He'll be considered day-to-day until the team provides additional details on his status.

New York's success rides on the performance of Brunson, and he will continue to be a focal point for the team for as long as the Knicks can push their playoff run.

-
T.J. McConnell IND PG
Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Shines off bench in Game 1 loss
10h agoMcConnell finished with 18 points (9-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three assists, three steals and one rebound over 22 minutes in Monday's 121-117 loss to New York in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
McConnell provided a much-needed spark off the Pacers bench with the below-average offensive showing by Indiana's starting guards, leading all bench players in scoring while adding a trio of steals and assists in a balanced showing on the second unit. McConnell has been playing some of his best basketball of the postseason in his last two outings, posting at least 18 points and three assists in two straight contests.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Cleared for Game 2
11h agoMurray (calf) will play in Monday's Game 2 against the Timberwolves, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports.
Murray is still battling a nagging calf injury that he picked up during Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Lakers, but it won't force him to miss Monday's clash. He was held in check during Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals; however, the point guard has shown that he can make clutch shots when his team needs them most, even if he's not at 100 percent.
