  • Luis Garcia SP | HOU

Astros' Luis Garcia: Still waiting on rehab assignment

Garcia (elbow) threw 20 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Garcia has been throwing bullpen sessions since April but is purposefully being brought along slowly by the Astros. He'll require a lengthy rehab stint and will remain sidelined until at least halfway through the regular season.

  • Jose Urquidy SP | HOU

Astros' Jose Urquidy: Completes four innings

Urquidy (forearm) threw 59 pitches and completed four innings in a rehab appearance with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday.

Urquidy was scheduled to complete four innings in the rehab appearance, he had a successful outing. He threw 38 of his pitches for strikes and reached 93 mph with his fastball. Urquidy could require one more rehab appearance, but he's expected to be activated from the injured list by late May.

  • Ryan Pepiot SP | TB

Rays' Ryan Pepiot: Successful bullpen session

Pepiot (leg) threw a three-inning bullpen session ahead of Friday's game against the Blue Jays, MLB.com reports.

Pepiot continues to make progress toward a return, as he's now thrown three successful bullpen sessions. His activation could come as soon as the Rays' upcoming series against the Red Sox, though no final decision has been reached.

  • Colin Poche RP | TB

Rays' Colin Poche: Return date unclear

There is no clear timeline for Poche (back) to be activated from the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Poche has received a pair of cortisone shots to relieve his pain and has been able to resume some baseball activity. However, his ramp up has remained slow, making it unclear when he may be able to return.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Reaches base five times

Diaz went 3-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Diaz has gotten on track at the plate across the last two weeks, with Saturday's performance marking his eighth multi-hit performance across his last 15 games. He's gone 23-for-63 with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored, also chipping in a pair of home runs. Overall, Diaz owns a 106 wRC+ but just a .097 ISO across 206 plate appearances for the season.

  • Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL

Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Eleven-game hitting streak

Tovar went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI on Saturday against the Giants.

Tovar took over as Colorado's leadoff hitter with a lefty on the mound and did his damage in the third inning with an RBI single before coming around to score in the same frame. He has at least one hit in each of his last 11 games, during which he's gone 17-for-49 with two home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI.

  • Nolan Jones LF | COL

    Rockies' Nolan Jones: Nearing return

Jones (back) is expected to be recalled from his rehab assignment following Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, MLB.com reports.

Jones has appeared in three games with Albuquerque, starting twice in left field and once at designated hitter. He's lined up for a fourth appearance Sunday and will rejoin the big-league club as it travels to Oakland. Assuming all goes according to plan, it appears that Jones will be activated for the first game of the series on Tuesday.

  • Kris Bryant DH | COL

Rockies' Kris Bryant: Tuesday return likely

Bryant (back) will remain with Triple-A Albuquerque on a rehab assignment through Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Bryant has appeared in four games with Albuquerque, appearing twice at first base, once in right field and once at designated hitter. He's expected to play a final game with the team Sunday before meeting up with the big-league club Tuesday in Oakland. The Rockies haven't made their intentions official, but it's expected that he'll be back in the lineup the same day.

  • Hunter Goodman RF | COL

Rockies' Hunter Goodman: First appearance as catcher

Goodman went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Giants.

Goodman has primarily been a bench bat for Colorado since being promoted April 24, though he made his first career start and appearance at catcher in Saturday's game. Elias Diaz (hand) remains out, which is giving Goodman the opportunity to back up Jacob Stallings. The injury to Diaz isn't projected to keep him out in the long term so Goodman may not have enough time to gain catcher eligibility, though he would become an intriguing option behind the dish if Diaz remains sidelined longer than anticipated.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | CLE

Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Racks up three more hits

Gimenez went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Twins.

That's five multi-hit efforts in a row for Gimenez, and Saturday saw the second baseman earn his second three-hit game of the season. While he's making steady contact lately, he has just two extra-base hits over his last six contests. Gimenez is slashing .276/.333/.371 with two home runs, seven stolen bases, 25 RBI, 24 runs scored, eight doubles and a triple of 190 plate appearances as the Guardians' usual No. 2 hitter.
