  • Mitch Haniger RF | SEA

Mariners' Mitch Haniger: Drives in three in wild loss

Haniger went 1-for-4 with a three-run double, a walk and a run in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Haniger's bases-clearing two-bagger was an integral part of a first-inning onslaught by the Mariners that netted a 7-0 lead by the time it concluded. The timely knock was a rare one for the mostly struggling veteran, who'd knocked in just one run in the previous 14 games. Haniger has hit safely in nine of his last 10 contests overall, but just two of his hits in that span have gone for extra bases.

  • Beau Brieske RP | DET

Tigers' Beau Brieske: Ineffective effort Friday

Brieske allowed two runs on three hits across two innings of relief in Friday's 10-0 loss to the Brewers. He walked two and struck out two.

The game was already essentially over after Detroit starter Reese Olson allowed eight runs over four innings, but Brieske didn't help matters. Even after the rough appearance, the righty still has a solid 2.70 ERA, and he's only been scored upon twice in seven appearances this season. Brieske should stick in a long relief role for the Tigers, giving him limited fantasy appeal at the moment despite his good play.

  • Jarren Duran CF | BOS

Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Steals, scores in loss

Duran went 0-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

Duran stole home, his first steal in 15 games, and leads Boston with 12 thefts. He also leads the team with 39 runs. The outfielder has been hot to start the month of June, going 10-for-26 (.385) with one double, one triple, two home runs, four RBI and seven runs scored over the last six games.

  • David Hamilton SS | BOS

Red Sox's David Hamilton: Swipes two bags off bench

Hamilton entered Friday's game after Tyler O'Neill (knee) was removed and went 0-for-3 with two steals in a 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

After O'Neill's removal, the Red Sox made several adjustments, including Hamilton entering at shortstop and Ceddanne Rafaela moving to the outfield. Hamilton now has 11 steals for the season, second on the team. The Red Sox are dealing with several outfield injuries -- O'Neill, Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) -- and may not be able to get by with Rafaela at shortstop in the short term. In that event, Hamilton could be a regular at short.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: IL stint not expected

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Seager (hamstring) is not expected to require a stint on the injured list, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Seager injured his hamstring Wednesday and sat out Friday's game after Thursday's off-day. Bochy doesn't anticipate an IL stint, but Seager might need a couple of days to get back to the field.

  • Ezequiel Duran LF | TEX

Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Starts at third base

Duran started at third base and went 2-for-3 an RBI in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Duran entered the lineup with Corey Seager (hamstring) on the bench. Josh Smith, the primary fill-in for Josh Jung (wrist) at third base, moved to shortstop, paving the way for Duran to make his eighth start of the season at the hot corner. He's hit safely in four consecutive games and 11 of the last 13. Seager's injury is not considered serious, but he could need a couple more days, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com.

  • Cody Poteet SP | NYY

Yankees' Cody Poteet: Inefficient in no-decision

Poteet came away with a no-decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Dodgers, allowing two hits and three walks over 4.2 scoreless innings. He struck out one.

The 29-year-old right-hander kept a dangerous offense off the board, but he needed 84 pitches (50 strikes) to record only 14 outs, and the Yankees' bullpen eventually faltered in the 11th inning. Poteet has a 1.72 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB through 15.2 innings over his three big-league starts this season, but with Gerrit Cole (elbow) set to make his second rehab start Sunday, his time in the New York rotation is running short. Poteet should make at least one more start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Kansas City.

  • Jose Siri CF | TB

Rays' Jose Siri: Swats sixth homer

Siri went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Orioles.

The center fielder got Tampa Bay on the board by taking Cole Irvin deep in the second inning. Siri is heating up at the plate -- over his last 10 games he's slashing .303/.395/.667 with three of his six homers on the season, but his 1-for-4 performance on the basepaths during that stretch is a stark reminder of his inconsistency.

  • Aaron Civale SP | TB

Rays' Aaron Civale: Rocked by O's

Civale (2-5) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings as the Rays fell 6-3 to the Orioles. He struck out eight.

The right-hander got taken deep by Anthony Santander in the second inning and Ryan Mountcastle in the fifth, just the second time this season Civale has served up multiple homers. The eight strikeouts did tie his season high, helping to salvage some fantasy value, but he's gone 10 straight starts without recording a win, going 0-4 over that stretch with a 6.66 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 50 innings. Civale will try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Cubs.

  • Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Mashes homer No. 10

Westburg went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

The 25-year-old took Chris Devenski deep in the eighth inning to give Baltimore some insurance runs. Westburg is batting .298 (14-for-47) over his last 12 games, boosting his slash line on the season to .280/.336/.495 with 10 homers, six steals, 32 runs and 38 RBI in 58 contests.
