Dylan Moore SS | SEA
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Hitting bench Sunday
Moore is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Moore will take a seat in the series finale after he went 1-for-14 with eight strikeouts while starting each of the past four games at either second base or third base. While he remains in the mix for steady playing at the keystone with Jorge Polanco (hamstring) on the injured list, Moore looks to be slowing down at the plate after a hot run over the first three weeks of May. Dating back to May 23, Moore is slashing .103/.297/.138 over a stretch of nine games. If Moore's struggles continue, Ryan Bliss could end up unseating him as the preferred option at second base.

Mitch Haniger RF | SEA
Mariners' Mitch Haniger: Heading back to bench Sunday
Haniger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Haniger will take a seat for the series finale after he had started each of the last seven games in right field or at designated hitter while going 6-for-24 with one extra-base hit (a double) and two walks. Despite the recent uptick in playing time, Haniger still looks to be behind lefty hitters Dominic Canzone and Luke Raley for reps in the corner outfield when the Mariners face right-handed pitching, though Haniger should be a mainstay in the lineup against southpaws.

Trenton Brooks 1B | SF
Giants' Trenton Brooks: Taking seat against lefty
Brooks is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Though he'll take a seat while southpaw Nestor Cortes takes the hill for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Brooks appears to have settled in as the strong side option of a platoon at first base with the right-handed-hitting Wilmer Flores. Brooks has started in the Giants' last three matchups with righties and has gone 1-for-6 with two walks and two runs in four games overall since he was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday following LaMonte Wade's (hamstring) placement on the injured list.

Patrick Bailey C | SF
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Taking seat for series finale
Bailey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Bailey will get a breather for the series finale after he started at catcher Friday and Saturday while going 2-for-7 with a walk. Curt Casali will step in behind the dish Sunday.

Mike Yastrzemski RF | SF
Giants' Mike Yastrzemski: Taking seat versus southpaw
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Yastrzemski has a .569 OPS in 34 at-bats over his past 10 games and will sit Sunday as lefty Nestor Cortes takes the ball for the Yankees. Luis Matos will shift to right field while Tyler Fitzgerald receives a start in center.

Oswaldo Cabrera 3B | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Moving into reserve role
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Since DJ LeMahieu returned from the injured list Tuesday to make his season debut, Cabrera has unsurprisingly been the odd man out of the New York lineup more often than not. He's made just two starts in the six games since LeMahieu's return and appears set to fill a utility role moving forward after holding down the fort at third base for much of the past two months.
-
Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Sitting against southpaw
Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Wells had started behind the plate while the Yankees faced right-handed starting pitchers in both of the past two games, but the lefty-hitting catcher will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Blake Snell toes the rubber for the Giants. Jose Trevino will pick up the start at catcher.
-
Gavin Lux 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: On bench against lefty
Lux is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rockies.
Lux has gone 3-for-17 over his past six contests and will head to the bench Sunday as southpaw Austin Gomber takes the mound for Colorado. Miguel Rojas will step in at the keystone and bat sixth in the series finale.
-
Jason Heyward RF | LAD
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Sitting versus southpaw
Heyward is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Heyward went 1-for-6 with a double and an RBI in the first two games of the series but will take a seat Sunday as lefty Austin Gomber pitches for Colorado. Miguel Vargas will enter the lineup in left field, pushing Teoscar Hernandez to right.

Nolan Schanuel 1B | LAA
Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Absence continuing Sunday
Schanuel (thumb) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
It's the third straight absence for Schanuel as he manages soreness in his left thumb. Willie Calhoun will receive another start at first base for the Halos.
