  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Hits go-ahead homer

Seager went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Seager's hitting streak is up to 11 games, during which he's gone 14-for-40 (.350). He's also homered seven times over his last seven contests, with Tuesday's blast being enough to secure the win for the Rangers. The shortstop is up to 12 long balls, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored and a .259/.351/.461 slash line through 50 games, though he's been particularly impressive with his recent power surge after a slow start to the campaign.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Dealing with swollen finger

X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely.

  • Dylan Moore SS | SEA

Mariners' Dylan Moore: Out of Tuesday's lineup

Moore isn't in the Mariners' lineup Tuesday against the Astros.

Moore has been extremely hot at the plate lately, slashing an incredible .324/.489/.735 with three homers and seven RBI across his last 11 games. He'll get a breather against Hunter Brown and the Astros while Luke Raley, Julio Rodriguez and Dominic Canzone start across the outfield with Mitch Haniger in as the DH.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Nearing game action

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Perdomo (knee) is expected to play in live games "very, very shortly," Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

The 24-year-old has already taken live at-bats but has yet to run thus bases, so he still has a bit of work to do in his rehab program before seeing game action. Lovullo said in mid-May that Perdomo was expected to return from the injured list in a couple weeks, but it instead appears the shortstop's absence will extend into June.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Recalled from Triple-A

The Giants recalled Fitzgerald from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Fitzgerald was sent to the minors May 20 following the addition of Ryan McKenna from Baltimore. However, Fitzgerald has gone 11-for-25 with six homers and 13 RBI in just six games since joining Sacramento, so the Giants will bring him back up to the majors and look to take advantage of his hot bat. The 26-year-old owns a .269/.309/.442 slash line in 55 MLB plate appearances this year, and his return will cause the dismissal of McKenna, who was DFA'd in a corresponding move.

  • Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE

Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Getting day off

Rocchio is not in the Guardians' lineup versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Rocchio has just two hits across 22 plate appearances in the last seven games. With Rocchio taking a seat, Gabriel Arias will take over at shortstop and bat ninth.

  • Aledmys Diaz SS | OAK

Athletics' Aledmys Diaz: Activated from IL

Diaz (calf) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Diaz has missed the first two months of the 2024 campaign with a strained right calf he sustained in early March. He appeared in 10 games at Triple-A during his rehab assignment and slashed .154/.313/.308 with six walks and five strikeouts in 32 plate appearances. He figures to compete with Max Schuemann and Abraham Toro for work at shortstop and third base.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Stays hot in Monday's win

Crawford went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Astros on Monday.

Crawford provided one of two multi-hit efforts for the Mariners on the afternoon while hitting safely for the sixth time in the last seven starts. The veteran shortstop has been clicking at the plate since his return an IL stay from an oblique injury, producing a .296 average and .848 OPS across his last 30 plate appearances despite a 26.7 percent strikeout rate in the same span.

  • Braves' Spencer Schwellenbach: Set for MLB debut Wednesday

Atlanta is expected to call up Schwellenbach from Double-A Mississippi to start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Schwellenbach was promoted from High-A Rome to Mississippi earlier this month and is unscored upon in two Double-A starts, boasting a 17:1 K:BB over 13 innings. He was also dominant in 32 frames with Rome, collecting a 2.53 ERA and 34:9 K:BB. With Schwellenbach in line for his major-league debut Wednesday, Ray Kerr presumably will now shift back to a relief role.

  • Brett Wisely SS | SF

Giants' Brett Wisely: Gaining playing time at shortstop

Wisely went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 8-4 win over the Phillies.

After being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on May 11, Wisely started in just one of the ensuing 10 games, but the 25-year-old since appears to have moved into the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with Marco Luciano. Wisely has started in each of the last three games and in three of the Giants' previous four matchups with right-handed starting pitchers, going a collective 9-for-15 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs during that stretch. So long as he's swinging a hot bat, Wisely should continue to play ahead of Luciano until Nick Ahmed (wrist) is reinstated from the injured list.
