    Nationals' CJ Abrams: Scratched from lineup

    Abrams was scratched from the Nationals' lineup prior to Saturday's game against the Guardians.

    Abrams said that he jammed his shoulder while making a diving play during Friday's loss, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com, and it seems to be bothering him enough Saturday to warrant a day off. While Abrams recovers, Ildemaro Vargas will take over at shortstop and bat eighth.

    Brewers' Janson Junk: Back in Milwaukee

    The Brewers recalled Junk from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

    Junk will come up from the minors to fill the open spot in Milwaukee's pitching staff following the demotion of Tobias Myers to Triple-A on Saturday. Junk made three appearances for the Brewers during his first big-league stint this season, giving up five earned runs over five innings. He's turned in a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with Nashville since being sent back down, but he will likely be limited to low-leverage work in the majors. The 28-year-old righty also has experience as a starter, opening the door for a potential spot start if Joe Ross (back) isn't able to return from the injured list when eligible June 5.

    Brewers' Tobias Myers: Sent to Triple-A

    The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

    Myers was knocked around during his start against the White Sox on Friday, allowing five earned runs in just 4.1 frames, and he will now head back to Nashville in order to right the ship. The 25-year-old owns a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through 26.2 innings across seven big-league appearances this season, though he still may be relied upon later in the year if the Brewers run into additional problems with their pitching depth. Janson Junk was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

    Peralta isn't in the Padres' lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

    Although the Padres are set to face right-hander Alec Marsh on Saturday, Peralta will sit on the bench while Donovan Solano serves as San Diego's designated hitter and bats sixth. Peralta has gone just 3-for-15 with seven strikeouts since joining the Friars on May 22.

    Campusano is still ice-cold at the plate and is now 0-for-19 across his last seven games. He'll give way to Kyle Higashioka on Saturday and may continue to lose playing time if his offensive struggles continue.

    Donovan (neck) isn't in the Cardinals' lineup Saturday against Philadelphia.

    Neck stiffness caused Donovan to be scratched from St. Louis' lineup before Friday's contest, and the issue seems to still be bothering him Saturday. Alec Burleson, Mike Siani and Dylan Carlson will start across the outfield while Donovan sits, allowing Jose Fermin to serve as the designated hitter.
