Velazquez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Velazquez will get a day off in the series finale after he had started in each of Kansas City's last 10 games. Salvador Perez will get a break from catching duties and will serve as the Royals' designated hitter while Velazquez sits.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

The lefty-hitting Manzardo was on the bench for two of the past three games while the Guardians faced three consecutive lefty starters, but his absence Sunday comes with right-hander Jake Irvin on the hill for Washington. Jose Ramirez will get a day out of the field and will serve as the Guardians' designated hitter, but even when Ramirez plays third base against right-handed pitching, Manzardo's opportunities could become more limited. The hot-hitting David Fry -- who is out of the lineup Sunday -- has made a case to overtake Manzardo as the Guardians' preferred DH against both righties and lefties.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn typically hits the bench against left-handed pitchers, but he'll get a breather versus a righty (Zack Littell) for the series finale. Adley Rutschman will get a day off from catching and will start at designated hitter in place of O'Hearn, who had been included in the lineup in each of the previous five games.

Aranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Aranda will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Richie Palacios, Ben Rortvedt and Brandon Lowe as the Rays roll a full right-handed-hitting lineup versus Orioles southpaw Cole Irvin. Harold Ramirez will replace Aranda as the Rays' designated hitter.

Canha (hip) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

As expected, the veteran will return to the lineup for the series finale after missing the last two games with a hip strain. Canha holds a slash line of .247/.358/.401 with 24 RBI and 27 runs this season.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Giants.

Stanton padded the Yankees' lead with an eighth-inning blast. Prior to Saturday, he was stuck in a 1-for-20 slump over the previous five games. Stanton is up to 14 homers, 31 RBI, 24 runs scored, eight doubles and no stolen bases while slashing .231/.279/.487 over 52 contests this season.

Langford went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-0 win against the Marlins on Saturday.

Langford singled and scored a run in the fourth inning then added a two-run base hit in the ninth. In four games since returning from the injured list with a hamstring strain, Langford has posted two multi-hit efforts and totaled four RBI. Langford's current slash line of .229/.292/.290 has been disappointing, but he appears healthy and has started each game since his return from the injured list May 28.

Canha (hip) expects to play a full game Sunday versus the Red Sox, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Canha is dealing with a psoas strain in his left hip and his ability to return to the lineup Sunday will be a big test for his status moving forward. If he suffers a setback, the 35-year-old will likely head to the injured list.

Yoshida (thumb) took live batting practice in Boston on Saturday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Yoshida was able to take another step in his recovery from the strained left thumb that has sidelined him since May 1. The outfielder said Saturday that he is "over the injury and it's a matter of building up," according to Abraham. Yoshida will likely need to embark on a multi-start rehab assignment prior to being activated from the injured list.

Turner is out of the lineup Saturday versus the Pirates.

Turner will head to the bench after he went 2-for-11 with a double, two RBI, four walks and two strikeouts while starting the team's last three contests. Daniel Vogelbach will replace him at designated hitter and bat fifth against Pittsburgh.
