Murphy was waived with an injury settlement by the Saints during training camp. Considering the Stanford product is receiving a workout, it appears he is healthy enough to compete again. With Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk both dealing with knee injuries, the Saints could be looking to add some depth a offensive tackle.

Murphy (undisclosed) was waived off New Orleans' injured reserved Wednesday with an injury settlement, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Murphy reverted to injured reserve last week after being waived/injured by the Saints, and he's now free to sign elsewhere thanks to the injury settlement. The 2016 sixth-round pick hasn't seen game action since 2017 with the Packers.

Murphy, who broke his left foot last October, was a limited participant in OTAs this spring but received clearance to return to team drills before minicamp. Murphy had started at offensive tackle in all three of the team's games and led the line with 219 snaps, but that was mostly out of necessity with both Bryan Bulaga (ankle) and David Bakhtiari (hamstring) missing time with injuries. It's unclear if either Bulaga or Bakhtiari will be able to suit up Thursday against the Bears, so Murphy's absence could loom large, despite his struggles in pass protection to begin the season.
