  • Warriors' Ky Bowman: Posts solid stat line despite loss

Bowman had 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals during Golden State's 93-87 loss against Charlotte this Friday.

Bowman got the start at point guard and aside from playing a team-high 39 minutes, he filled the stat sheet admirably. He should remain as a starter while D'Angelo Russell (ankle) remains out, but shouldn't have much upside on a long-term picture.

  • Warriors' Ky Bowman: Starting Saturday

Bowman will draw the start Saturday against the Hornets, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

With D'Angelo Russell (ankle) and Steph Curry (hand) out, Bowman finds himself as the starting point guard of the Warriors. In the three games that he's seen double-digit minutes, he's averaging 5.7 points, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal.

  • Warriors' Ky Bowman: Scores 10 in loss

Bowman totaled 10 points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three steals, a rebound and an assist in 12 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Suns.

Bowman tied a season-high with 12 minutes of run Wednesday, finishing with his first career game in double figures. The rookie guard could find himself in an expanded role going forward with Steph Curry going down for the foreseeable future with a broken left wrist. While it's unclear who'll benefit most from Curry's extended absence, Bowman is in contention along with Alec Burks, Jordan Poole and Damion Lee.

  • Warriors' Ky Bowman: Earmarked for two-way spot

Bowman agreed to a two-way contract with the Warriors last week, Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 6-foot-1 point guard went undrafted out of Boston College in June after a prolific three-year career. As a junior in 2018-19, Bowman averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 boards, 4.0 assists, 2.5 three-pointers and 1.4 steals in 39.3 minutes per game over 31 outings to earn all-ACC honors. He'll be eligible to spend up to 45 days in the NBA as a rookie but will otherwise see the overwhelming share of his action in the G League.
