Betts went 2-for-4 with two walks, a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 11-7 win over the Pirates. Betts' three-run blast capped off a six-run fifth inning for the Dodgers and plated Miguel Vargas and Austin Barnes. Prior to Thursday's outburst, Betts had gone 1-for-24 (.042) across six games. Despite the minor cold spell, he owns the ninth-best OPS in MLB at .923 with 10 homers and nine stolen bases.... See More ... See Less

Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Pops leadoff homer Sunday
Betts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rockies. The Dodgers had all the offense they needed for the win after their first at-bat, as Betts drilled Austin Gomber's first pitch over the wall in left field. Prior to Sunday, Betts had gone 0-for-13 over the last three games, which was his longest slump of the season. That's a testament to his consistency and his elite skills as the tone-setter atop the Dodgers' lineup. Betts is slashing .318/.412/.515 with nine homers, 32 RBI, 43 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 14 doubles and three triples over 60 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Doubles twice in loss
Betts went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a walk in Friday's loss to the Reds. Betts led the game off with a single, knocked an RBI double in the second inning and added another double in the fourth. He entered Friday in a small slump, going 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests. Despite the skid, he's hitting .291 through 20 games this month. Betts is slashing .338/.438/.554 with 25 extra-base hits through 240 plate appearances on the season.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Getting rare day off
Betts isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds. After starting 47 consecutive games and posting an incredible .341/.440/.562 slash line to begin the year, Betts will step out of the lineup for the first time all season. Miguel Rojas will instead start at shortstop while batting ninth.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts another leadoff homer
Betts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Friday's 7-3 win over the Reds. Betts' last two homers have been of the leadoff variety, and they're his only two long balls in May. He's hitting .283 this month, dropping his season-long batting average to a still-stunning .341 through 47 contests. Betts has added eight homers, 29 RBI, 40 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 11 doubles and three triples over 218 plate appearances while serving as the everyday leadoff hitter.... See More ... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Collects three hits Wednesday
Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's 8-0 victory. Betts hasn't homered over his past 17 games, but he continues to be productive, collecting seven multi-hit efforts over that stretch while slashing .406/.481/.536. The move to shortstop this season hasn't impacted the All-Star's offensive production, as Betts is leading MLB in hits (49) and OBP (.481) while tying for first in runs (29) and walks (26). Betts' 1.104 OPS also leads all major-leaguers.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Steals eighth bag
Betts went 3-for-5 with a triple, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays. The 31-year-old extended his current hitting streak to seven games with his fourth straight multi-hit performance, and he also swiped a bag for the third straight contest. Betts is having a monster start to the season, slashing .391/.489/.661 through 115 plate appearances with six homers, eight steals, 23 RBI and 29 runs, and while it's early, he's firmly on pace for the second 30-30 campaign of his career.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Reaches three times, swipes base
Betts went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base against the Nationals in Thursday's 2-1 victory. Betts scored the decisive run in the contest by walking, swiping second base and crossing the plate on a Freddie Freeman double in the eighth inning. Betts seems to be running more frequently so far this season -- the stolen base was his sixth of the campaign through 27 contests, putting him well on pace to reach 20 steals for the first time since 2018. That has to be sweet music to his fantasy managers' ears, and Betts is paying huge dividends in other areas as well, slashing .374/.477/.636 with six homers, 21 RBI and 27 runs.... See More ... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Four hits in rout
Betts went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-2 win over the Nationals. The 31-year-old continues to rake. Betts has had three or more hits three times in the last 10 games, batting .395 (17-for-43) over that stretch, and on the season he's already delivered a .365/.468/.625 slash line with six homers, five steals, 21 RBI and 26 runs in 26 contests. He hasn't produced a 30-30 campaign since 2018, but Betts seems intent on reaching that milestone again.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Swipes two bags in loss
Betts went 1-for-2 with three walks, a double, a run scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Mets. The 31-year-old was excellent once again out of the leadoff spot, but the rest of the Dodgers' order had trouble bringing him around to score. Betts has failed to get on base only twice in 23 games to begin the season, and he boasts a .356/.473/.644 slash line with six homers, five steals, 18 RBI and an MLB-leading 23 runs.... See More ... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Nabs majors' first five-hit game
Betts went 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs Tuesday in the Dodgers' 6-2 win over the Nationals. Betts produced the majors' first five-hit game of the season Tuesday and matched his previous career high for hits in a game, raising his batting average to an MLB-best .388 in the process. Though the Dodgers' 12-8 start to the season is somewhat disappointing given the immense talent on the roster, Betts and Shohei Ohtani (1.019 OPS) are doing their part in the top two spots in the lineup. Betts has still been able to rack up 22 runs and 18 RBI through 20 games, even while No. 3 hitter Freddie Freeman (.788 OPS) has yet to really get going at the plate.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Tallies three hits in victory
Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Saturday's 5-2 win over San Diego. Betts plated Los Angeles' first run with a fourth-inning single and came through again with a run-scoring base knock in the sixth. The star outfielder-turned-infielder finished with his sixth multi-hit game of the campaign. Betts has reached base via hit or walk in all but one of his 17 contests this season and is slashing .364/.488/.712 with six homers, 16 RBI, 20 runs, two stolen bases and a 16:12 BB:K.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts sixth homer Friday
Betts went 1-for-6 with a three-run home run in Friday's extra-innings loss to the Padres. Betts made the most of his only hit in the contest, smashing a 409-foot blast in the second inning to plate three runs. The long ball pushed Betts back into a tie for the major-league lead with six on the campaign. He's also tied for seventh in MLB with 14 RBI and leads the league with 20 runs scored and 16 walks.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Plays in 10th game at shortstop
Betts made his 10th appearance of the season at shortstop in Monday's game against the Twins. It's a notable number because it means Betts will now have shortstop eligibility if your fantasy league uses a 10-game in-season threshold. Betts, of course, already has second base and outfield eligibility, as well. The 31-year-old is slashing a robust .375/.508/.792 with five home runs and two stolen bases in the early going.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts homer No. 5
Betts went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's win over the Giants. Betts' bat continues to be one of the best in baseball, as he mashed his league-leading fifth home run of the campaign. He sits comfortably atop the league in hits (15) with the next-closest players a full three hits behind, and he has 14 more total bases than any other player. While his ridiculous .500/.605/1.167 slash line is certain to regress at some point, fantasy managers have to be thrilled with what they're getting from the six-time All-Star early on.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Remains scorching hot
Betts went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, two walks and three total runs in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Cardinals. Betts is on an absolute heater to begin the campaign, as he's homered in four straight contests and has reached base an absurd 18 times through 25 plate appearances. His long ball Saturday came in the clutch, pulling the Dodgers to within one run in the ninth inning against Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley. Betts is already paying huge dividends for fantasy managers who made a big investment in him in fantasy drafts -- he leads all players in homers (four), RBI (10) and walks (seven) while posting an astronomical 2.109 OPS through the Dodgers' first five games.... Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Homers again Friday
Betts went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Cardinals. Betts got the Dodgers started early Friday, belting his third home run of the season off Zack Thompson to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The 31-year-old Betts is off to a torrid start this season, going 8-for-14 with four extra-base hits and nine RBI through four games. He looks poised for a massive season while leading off in front of Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts second homer
Betts went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and three total runs in Thursday's 7-1 win over St. Louis. Betts had a big two-game series against the Padres in Seoul, Korea, to kick off the regular season, and he carried his hot bat over to the Dodgers' domestic home opener. The outfielder-turned-shortstop launched a solo shot off Miles Mikolas in the third inning and reached base two additional times via walks. Through three contests, Betts is slashing a scorching .636/.733/1.273 with two homers, eight RBI, four walks and five runs.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Drives in six runs in loss
Betts went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, a walk, two total runs and six total RBI in Thursday's loss to San Diego in the second game of the Seoul Series. The Padres built an early 9-2 lead before Betts almost single-handedly brought the Dodgers back into contention with a two-run double in the third inning, a two-run homer in the fifth and a two-run single in the eighth. Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com, the six RBI were his most in a game since 2017 and tied for the third-most in any game in his career. Betts is off to a fast start in his 11th big-league campaign -- during the season-opening two-game set in South Korea, Betts went 6-for-9 with seven total RBI.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Moving to shortstop
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Betts will be the team's shortstop moving forward, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Roberts referred to the move as "permanent, for now." Betts and Gavin Lux are flip-flopping infield positions due to the latter's defensive issues at shortstop. Betts did start 12 games at shortstop last season, so the position isn't totally foreign to him, but he's been an outfielder for the overwhelming majority of his career so asking him to become a full-time shortstop at 31 years old is ambitious. For fantasy purposes, Betts will pick up a third position of eligibility early on this season.... See More ... See Less
