Nembhard ended with 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal over 34 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Nembhard provided Indiana with a boost offensively both scoring and distributing, ending as one of three players with 20 or more points while handing out a half-dozen assists and adding a handful of rebounds in a balanced Game 7 outing. Nembhard put forth his best game of the postseason to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, surpassing the 20-point mark for the second time of the playoffs and for the first time in the series against New York.... Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Improved performance Friday
Nembhard finished with 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and one block over 38 minutes during Friday's 116-103 win over New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Nembhard put together arguably his best performance of the postseason, especially when it comes to his efforts on the defensive end. Having been worked over by Jalen Brunson in the past couple of games, Nembhard appeared as though he was focused on making amends for his recent shortcomings. Although Brunson ended with a game-high 31 points, many of those came with the game already in the bag for Indiana. If the Pacers are to walk out of Madison Square Garden with a victory Sunday, Nembhard may need to again be more than a traffic cone on defense.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Woeful in Game 1 loss
Nembhard ended Sunday's 109-94 loss to Milwaukee in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with six points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three assists in 30 minutes. Nembhard had very little impact in the loss, continuing what has been a disappointing season despite his starting role. His lack of production highlights the Pacers' need for a reliable secondary backcourt option, something Nemhard has failed to do. Fans will be hoping he can at least be moderately impactful in Game 2.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Mediocre in loss
Nembhard ended with 10 points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and five assists across 35 minutes during Friday's 129-120 loss to Cleveland. Nembhard delivered a mediocre performance despite playing 35 minutes, something that should come as no surprise to anyone. While he has been able to carve out a consistent role, Nembhard has not been able to translate playing time into fantasy value. He is comfortably outside the top 200 for the season, a range he will likely remain in moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Leads team in scoring
Nembhard chipped in 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 125-99 loss to the Bulls. Nembhard's efficient shooting helped him lead Indiana in scoring during Wednesday's blowout loss to the Bulls. The 23-year-old guard has now recorded at least one steal in three straight contests. Across his 14 appearances in March, Nembhard is posting 52.3/37.8/77.8 shooting splits.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Muted performance in loss
Nembhard amassed nine points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 108-103 loss to the Cavaliers. This was a quiet showing for Nembhard, but he maintained a sizable role even though T.J. McConnell had the hot hand off the bench. Nembhard is in a bit of a slump, posting averages of 8.0 points, 3.2 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.1 three-pointers in nine March appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Serviceable performance in win
Nembhard chipped in 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 137-120 victory over the Mavericks. Nembhard continues to do just enough to be considered in standard fantasy leagues. He appears locked in as a starter moving forward, typically seeing upwards of 28 minutes on most nights. However, he has seen only 21 and 25 minutes in each of the past two games, with the coaching staff opting to lean a little more into their bench. While Nembhard can be useful for assists and steals in category leagues, he is by no means a must-roster player.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Smooth outing despite loss
Nembhard finished Monday's 111-102 loss to the Hornets with 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 33 minutes. Nembhard chipped in efficient scoring while facilitating without committing a turnover. Interestingly, Monday represented a continuation of a sizable dip in three-point volume for the second-year guard, as Nembhard is attempting a three on just 26.7 percent of his shots, which is the eighth-lowest figure league-wide among all guards with at least 500 minutes played this season.... Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Starting Sunday
Nembhard will start Sunday's game against the Hornets. After being left out of the rotation completely Friday, Nembhard will move back into the starting lineup Sunday, joining Tyrese Haliburton, Aaron Nesmith, Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam. As a starter (15 games), Nembhard has averaged 12.0 points and 5.7 assists in 26.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Retreats to bench
Nembhard isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Celtics, Tony East of SI.com reports. Tyrese Haliburton will replace Nembhard in the starting five Tuesday after missing the last five contests with a hamstring injury. Nembhard has averaged 6.2 points, 3.0 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 16.0 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Starting Tuesday
Nembhard (back) is in the starting lineup Tuesday against Denver, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports. Nembhard came off the bench in Sunday's loss to Phoenix following a two-game absence due to a back injury, but he'll return to the starting lineup for his 12th start of the season Tuesday. Nembhard has averaged 9.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists throughout his appearances with the first unit.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Available vs. Phoenix
Nembhard (back) is available for Sunday's game against the Suns, Jeremiah Johnson of Bally Sports Indiana reports. Nembhard missed the last two games due to a back injury, but he'll be able to return to action Sunday. He could see an uptick in work against Phoenix since Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) has been ruled out.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Questionable to play
Nembhard (back) is questionable to play Sunday against the Suns. Nembhard has missed the past two games for Indiana, but he remains day-to-day. Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) is also questionable with the Pacers considering a maintenance day. If either of those players is forced to sit, T.J. McConnell will likely be asked to step up.... Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Won't play Friday
Nembhard (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. Nembhard continues to deal with a back injury and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. His next chance to suit up will be Sunday against Phoenix, while T.J. McConnell should see increased run once again Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Out Thursday
Nembhard (back) won't play in Thursday's game against the Kings. In addition to Nembhard, the Pacers will be without Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring), Pascal Siakam (trade pending) and Aaron Nesmith (shins). T.J. McConnell is likely to see a significant workload at point guard in the absences of Haliburton and Nembhard.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Scores 14 points in loss to Utah
Nembhard notched 14 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four assists and one steal over 23 minutes during Monday's 132-105 loss to the Jazz. Nembhard has scored in double digits in each of his last three starts, but the Pacers have dropped the last two of those contests, and he hasn't been able to make a difference in the backcourt the way Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) was. Nembhard averages 9.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game when deployed as a starter, and he figures to remain in that role until Haliburton is ready to return, which won't happen until next week at the earliest.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Starting at point guard
Nembhard will start Wednesday's game against the Wizards. As expected, Nembhard will start at point guard in Tyrese Haliburton's (hamstring) absence. T.J. McConnell is also expected to see plenty of work off the bench. Nembhard has made seven starts this season, averaging 10.0 points, 4.6 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Starts second half for Haliburton
Nembhard (back) tallied nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three assists across 12 minutes in Monday's 133-131 win over the Celtics. Nembhard held only a light role in his return from a three-game absence due to a mid-back sprain, but he likely would have seen heftier minutes had he not accrued five fouls during his limited time on the court. Coach Rick Carlisle notably inserted Nembhard into the starting unit to open the third quarter after star point guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a hamstring strain in the second quarter that will more than likely result in him missing some time. Nembhard thus looks like the top candidate to enter the starting five in Haliburton's stead in the Pacers' next game Wednesday versus the Wizards, though Nembhard could still be in store for a split of the minutes at point guard with T.J. McConnell, who was the more productive performer of the two Monday (12 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals in 25 minutes). Even so, both Nembhard and McConnell look like strong cursory pickups in most 12-team leagues with the likelihood that Haliburton misses time.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Will play Monday
Nembhard (back) is available for Monday's game against the Celtics, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Nembhard missed the last three games due to a back injury, but he's been cleared to return to action Monday. Over his last six appearances, he's averaged 9.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game. However, it's unclear whether the 23-year-old will face a minutes restriction during his first game back in action.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Questionable for Monday
Nembhard (back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Celtics. Nembhard has missed the last three games due to a mid-back sprain, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to action Monday. If he's unavailable once again, T.J. McConnell and Buddy Hield could see additional minutes.... See More ... See Less
