Top Andrew Nembhard News

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Boosts offense in balanced Game 7

Nembhard ended with 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal over 34 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Nembhard provided Indiana with a boost offensively both scoring and distributing, ending as one of three players with 20 or more points while handing out a half-dozen assists and adding a handful of rebounds in a balanced Game 7 outing. Nembhard put forth his best game of the postseason to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, surpassing the 20-point mark for the second time of the playoffs and for the first time in the series against New York.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Improved performance Friday

Nembhard finished with 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and one block over 38 minutes during Friday's 116-103 win over New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Nembhard put together arguably his best performance of the postseason, especially when it comes to his efforts on the defensive end. Having been worked over by Jalen Brunson in the past couple of games, Nembhard appeared as though he was focused on making amends for his recent shortcomings. Although Brunson ended with a game-high 31 points, many of those came with the game already in the bag for Indiana. If the Pacers are to walk out of Madison Square Garden with a victory Sunday, Nembhard may need to again be more than a traffic cone on defense.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Woeful in Game 1 loss

Nembhard ended Sunday's 109-94 loss to Milwaukee in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with six points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three assists in 30 minutes.

Nembhard had very little impact in the loss, continuing what has been a disappointing season despite his starting role. His lack of production highlights the Pacers' need for a reliable secondary backcourt option, something Nemhard has failed to do. Fans will be hoping he can at least be moderately impactful in Game 2.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Mediocre in loss

Nembhard ended with 10 points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and five assists across 35 minutes during Friday's 129-120 loss to Cleveland.

Nembhard delivered a mediocre performance despite playing 35 minutes, something that should come as no surprise to anyone. While he has been able to carve out a consistent role, Nembhard has not been able to translate playing time into fantasy value. He is comfortably outside the top 200 for the season, a range he will likely remain in moving forward.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Leads team in scoring

Nembhard chipped in 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 125-99 loss to the Bulls.

Nembhard's efficient shooting helped him lead Indiana in scoring during Wednesday's blowout loss to the Bulls. The 23-year-old guard has now recorded at least one steal in three straight contests. Across his 14 appearances in March, Nembhard is posting 52.3/37.8/77.8 shooting splits.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Muted performance in loss

Nembhard amassed nine points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 108-103 loss to the Cavaliers.

This was a quiet showing for Nembhard, but he maintained a sizable role even though T.J. McConnell had the hot hand off the bench. Nembhard is in a bit of a slump, posting averages of 8.0 points, 3.2 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.1 three-pointers in nine March appearances.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Serviceable performance in win

Nembhard chipped in 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 137-120 victory over the Mavericks.

Nembhard continues to do just enough to be considered in standard fantasy leagues. He appears locked in as a starter moving forward, typically seeing upwards of 28 minutes on most nights. However, he has seen only 21 and 25 minutes in each of the past two games, with the coaching staff opting to lean a little more into their bench. While Nembhard can be useful for assists and steals in category leagues, he is by no means a must-roster player.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Scores 11 points

Nembhard registered 11 points (5-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one assist and one steal in 27 minutes during Monday's 130-122 loss to Toronto.

Nembhard scored the first bucket of the game for Indiana, but his evening was quiet from then forward. Given his status as a low-volume three-point shooter and a tertiary facilitator, his fantasy profile has a very limited ceiling as long as Tyrese Haliburton is active.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Smooth outing despite loss

Nembhard finished Monday's 111-102 loss to the Hornets with 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 33 minutes.

Nembhard chipped in efficient scoring while facilitating without committing a turnover. Interestingly, Monday represented a continuation of a sizable dip in three-point volume for the second-year guard, as Nembhard is attempting a three on just 26.7 percent of his shots, which is the eighth-lowest figure league-wide among all guards with at least 500 minutes played this season.

Nembhard will start Sunday's game against the Hornets.

After being left out of the rotation completely Friday, Nembhard will move back into the starting lineup Sunday, joining Tyrese Haliburton, Aaron Nesmith, Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam. As a starter (15 games), Nembhard has averaged 12.0 points and 5.7 assists in 26.8 minutes per game.
