Nembhard put together arguably his best performance of the postseason, especially when it comes to his efforts on the defensive end. Having been worked over by Jalen Brunson in the past couple of games, Nembhard appeared as though he was focused on making amends for his recent shortcomings. Although Brunson ended with a game-high 31 points, many of those came with the game already in the bag for Indiana. If the Pacers are to walk out of Madison Square Garden with a victory Sunday, Nembhard may need to again be more than a traffic cone on defense.
Nembhard ended Sunday's 109-94 loss to Milwaukee in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with six points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three assists in 30 minutes.
Nembhard had very little impact in the loss, continuing what has been a disappointing season despite his starting role. His lack of production highlights the Pacers' need for a reliable secondary backcourt option, something Nemhard has failed to do. Fans will be hoping he can at least be moderately impactful in Game 2.

Nembhard continues to do just enough to be considered in standard fantasy leagues. He appears locked in as a starter moving forward, typically seeing upwards of 28 minutes on most nights. However, he has seen only 21 and 25 minutes in each of the past two games, with the coaching staff opting to lean a little more into their bench. While Nembhard can be useful for assists and steals in category leagues, he is by no means a must-roster player.

Nembhard chipped in efficient scoring while facilitating without committing a turnover. Interestingly, Monday represented a continuation of a sizable dip in three-point volume for the second-year guard, as Nembhard is attempting a three on just 26.7 percent of his shots, which is the eighth-lowest figure league-wide among all guards with at least 500 minutes played this season.
Nembhard will start Sunday's game against the Hornets.
