The White Sox placed Fletcher on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 3, with a left shoulder strain. Fletcher sustained the injury during Sunday's game in Milwaukee while he robbed a potential home run at the outfield wall. It's unclear how long he might be out.... See More ... See Less

White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Won't start Saturday
Fletcher is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles. The lefty-hitting Fletcher will sit for a second straight game despite Baltimore sending out right-hander Albert Suarez. Tommy Pham will serve in center field Saturday, while Andrew Benintendi and Corey Julks man left and right field, respectively.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Not starting Friday
Fletcher is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore. Fletcher will cede center field duties to Tommy Pham, with Andrew Benintendi and Corey Julks rounding out Chicago's outfield. Fletcher has yet to collect a hit since returning to the big-league roster May 15, going 0-for-6.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Back with big club
The White Sox recalled Fletcher from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday. Fletcher was sent down to the minors late last month after hitting just .203/.277/.271 with a 20:4 K:BB over 66 plate appearances with Chicago. He will get another look with the big club after slashing .238/.319/.405 with one home run in 11 contests with Charlotte. Gavin Sheets has just a .516 OPS in May, so Fletcher could end up emerging as a regular in right field.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Optioned to Triple-A
The White Sox optioned Fletcher to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Fletcher has slashed just .203/.277/.271 with a 20:4 K:BB over 66 plate appearances with the White Sox. He had begun seeing his playing time dip, and now the club will give the 26-year-old a reset back in the minors.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Sits in favor of Pillar again
Fletcher is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins. For the second straight day, the lefty-hitting Fletcher finds himself on the bench as the White Sox oppose a right-handed starting pitcher (Simeon Woods Richardson). Kevin Pillar will get another nod in center field in place of Fletcher after he slugged a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Not starting Sunday
Fletcher is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies. Fletcher will get a rest Sunday after starting in each of Chicago's last seven games, including both doubleheader contests April 17 against the Royals. The White Sox will start Kevin Pillar at center field Sunday, and he will bat sixth against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. Since April 1, Fletcher is slashing .250/.308/.333 with four doubles and six RBI.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Taking seat Tuesday
Fletcher is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland. It looks to be a routine day off for Fletcher, who has moved from right field to center field lately to accommodate for the loss of Luis Robert (hip). Kevin Pillar will handle center field Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: On bench for season opener
Fletcher is out of the lineup for Thursday's season opener versus the Tigers. The lefty-hitting Fletcher should be in good position to play regularly in the corner outfield against right-handed pitching this season, but he finds himself on the bench for the opener with southpaw Tarik Skubal taking the hill for Detroit. The righty-hitting Kevin Pillar will step in for Fletcher in right field.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Opportunity could close
Fletcher started in right field and went 1-for-4 in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Angels. Fletcher made a third straight start in place of Corbin Carroll, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury since last Thursday. Carroll served as a pinch hitter Sunday and could rejoin the team Tuesday, which would curb Fletcher's at-bats. It's unclear how the Diamondbacks will adjust the lineup once Carroll is ready, as they currently have six outfielders on the roster. Presumably, either Fletcher or Kyle Lewis will head back to Triple-A Reno.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Fills in for Carroll
Fletcher started in left field and went 1-for-4 in Friday's 6-2 win over the Angels. Fletcher, who was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Friday, filled in for the injured Corbin Carroll, who suffered a shoulder injury and was removed from Thursday's game. Fletcher was up with the Diamondbacks earlier this season after the team demoted Alek Thomas and was initially quite productive. He had a 1.231 OPS through the first two weeks before tailing off (.427 OPS) over the subsequent two weeks. Arizona also recalled outfielder Kyle Lewis from Reno on Friday, so the outfield will be a crowded place once Carroll is ready.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Called up Friday
Fletcher was called up from Triple-A Reno on Friday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports. Fletcher will return to the major-league roster after being sent down in late May and batting .328 with two doubles, a triple, seven RBI, 14 runs and a stolen base over 13 Triple-A games since his demotion. He's compiled a .308/.349/.474 slash line with eight extra-base hits, including two homers, over 85 plate appearances with Arizona in 2023, but Fletcher had been in a 6-for-39 (.154) slump when sent back down. The 24-year-old will face off with his brother David Fletcher and the Angels upon his return to the big leagues Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Replaces optioned Thomas
Fletcher started in center field and went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Athletics. Fletcher was prominent on both ends. After nailing Tony Kemp at home plate in the seventh inning to preserve a 3-3 tie, he scored Arizona's final run as part of a two-run ninth inning. Fletcher moved into the center field spot that was once held by Alek Thomas, whom the Diamondbacks optioned to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday. The former had usurped at-bats from Thomas since being called up at the end of April and now will become the primary center fielder.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Sleeper hitters for Week 8 (May 15-21)
Dominic Fletcher is on quite a heater right now, having homered twice and driven in a combined nine runs between Friday and Saturday. It's almost a no-brainer to recommend him, then, with the Diamondbacks having the second-best hitter matchups this week, but he probably isn't a power hitter long-term and isn't a lock to play every day either.... Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Hits first big-league bomb
Fletcher went 3-for-4 with one double, one home run, four RBI and one run scored in Friday's 7-5 win over the Giants. Fletcher had a breakout game, accounting for over half of Arizona's runs by himself. The outfielder's three-run blast in the second inning tied the game at 3-3, after traveling 428 feet in the air. The 25=year-old couldn't be off to a hotter start, slashing .457.486/.629 through 11 games.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Heads to bench Wednesday
Fletcher is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins. Following his promotion from Triple-A Reno on April 30, Fletcher sat out that day but proceeded to start in the outfield in each of the next seven games, going 9-for-25 with a 2:6 BB:K. Fletcher benefited in part from the Diamondbacks facing a lefty-heavy schedule, and while he should be a mainstay in the lineup versus southpaws, consistent playing time against right-handers could be more difficult to come by while Arizona is at full strength in the outfield.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Makes third straight start
Fletcher started in left field and went 1-for-4 in Friday's 3-1 win over the Nationals. Fletcher, who was in the starting lineup for a third straight game, has hit safely in all four games (5-for-14) since being called up from Triple-A Reno. With Corbin Carroll returning from a knee injury, it had been assumed Fletcher's run in the starting lineup would end, but Carroll served as the DH on Friday while Lourdes Gurriel was rested. Eventually, when the Diamondbacks feel comfortable with Carroll playing the outfield, Fletcher's playing time should diminish.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Getting start
Fletcher will start in right field and bat sixth Wednesday against the Rangers. Fletcher is receiving a second straight start while Corbin Carroll (knee) recuperates. The rookie reached base three times and plated a run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to Texas.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Knocks in run
Fletcher started in right field and went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Rangers. Fletcher, who made his first MLB start Tuesday, has appeared in both games since being called up from Triple-A Reno on Sunday. His opportunities should dry up when Corbin Carroll (knee) becomes available. That could happen Wednesday, after Carroll received a positive MRI result and took batting practice Tuesday. Fletcher is another lefty bat in an outfield dominated by left-handed hitters.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Dominic Fletcher: Being recalled from Triple-A
The Diamondbacks will recall Fletcher from Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports. No corresponding transaction has been announced, but this very well could be related to the health of Corbin Carroll after Carroll left Saturday's game with a knee bruise sustained while colliding with the left-field wall. In 93 at-bats thus far with Reno, Fletcher has hit .323 with three homers and a steal while registering a .976 OPS.... See More ... See Less
