White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Swipes first bag
Vaught went 2-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Twins. Vaughn singled in his first trip to the plate before stealing his first base of the season. He added a double in his next at-bat, then came around to score on a Paul DeJong single to put Chicago up 2-0, marking the first baseman's first multi-hit performance since April 9 against the Guardians. Vaughn is batting just .170 (15-for-88) following the two-hit effort, though he has hit safely in three of his last four games.... See More ... See Less -

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Hits not falling
Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a walk and three strikeouts Sunday against the Royals. Despite his three punchouts in Sunday's game, Vaughn has struck out at only a 20 percent clip this season. He's still hitting only .194 across 35 plate appearances, a mark that should improve over time. More concerning is Vaughn's lack of power, as he has zero extra-base hits and has yet to barrel a ball across 24 batted-ball events.... See More ... See Less -

The White Sox and Vaughn avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. It was Vaughn's first year of arbitration eligibility. White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Stays warm Wednesday
Vaughn went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Royals. A meeting with Kansas City pitching has helped spark Vaughn's offense again. Over his last 16 games, he has eight multi-hit efforts and seven 0-fers. The first baseman has a career high in homers (19) and has added 72 RBI, four shy of matching his total from last year. He's maintained a respectable .259/.317/.438 slash line through 130 contests.... See More ... See Less -

Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Royals. Vaughn went deep in the third inning to tally his 18th homer of the season, setting a new career-best mark. He's posted a near-identical batting line to his 2022 campaign, though he has maintained his health to remain in the lineup regularly and improve his counting stats. But the 25-year-old first baseman wasn't done there, driving home Jimenez yet again on a double in the very next inning to put Chicago on top 6-4. The home run was Vaughn's fourth this month and he's now recorded multiple hits in five of his last nine starts. Gavin Sheets will spell Vaughn at first base.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Ends homerless streak
Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Saturday against the Guardians. Vaughn managed to clear the fences for the first time in 21 games when he took Logan Allen deep in the sixth inning. He still found ways to be productive in that span, tallying five extra-base hits, seven runs scored and 11 RBI. Vaughn had surprisingly sat both Thursday and Friday in favor of Yasmani Grandal and Gavin Sheets, so his playing time will be worth monitoring in the short term.... See More ... See Less -
