Pages went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Pages hit one of Los Angeles' two homers off rookie phenom Paul Skenes, launching a solo shot in the fifth inning. It was the first homer for Pages over his past 13 games and his sixth overall this season. Despite the lack of power recently, the rookie outfielder has been swinging a hot bat, collecting four multi-hit efforts over his past seven contests and slashing .500/.522/.682 during that span.... Dodgers' Andy Pages: On bench Tuesday
Pages is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh. Pages will get the day off Tuesday after making seven consecutive starts in center field. Instead, Chris Taylor will bat ninth and play center.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Racks up three hits
Pages went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rockies. Pages is starting to get things figured out in the majors with three multi-hit efforts over his last four games. That surge has gotten the rookie outfielder back up to a .257 batting average, though his .685 OPS on the year remains middling. He's added five home runs, 17 RBI, 24 runs scored and a stolen base over 40 contests. Pages continues to see a starting role in center field.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Sitting down Saturday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds. Pages' single Friday broke an 0-for-12 skid at the plate, though he is still slashing just .200/.235/.325 across 85 plate appearances since the beginning of May. He'll get a day to regroup Saturday while Chris Taylor makes his first start of the year in center field, batting ninth.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Finds power in win
Pages went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Reds. Pages crushed a two-run shot off Hunter Greene in the fourth inning to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Pages has now tallied a hit in each of his last four games after a 10-game stretch from May 5 to May 15 during which he hit just .114 with a 42.5 percent strikeout rate. Despite the mini slump, Pages survived a flurry of roster changes made by the Dodgers over the weekend and was hitting fifth in Sunday's win, showing the confidence manager Dave Roberts has in him. He's now slashing .265/.301/.451 with five homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs and a 4:34 BB:K in 123 plate appearances. His .752 OPS is third among NL rookies with at least 100 plate appearances this season.... Dodgers' Andy Pages: Day off Thursday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds. Pages has struck out six times in his last nine at-bats, so the Dodgers will give him a chance to regroup Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will shift to right field as a result, allowing Chris Taylor to pick up a start in left while batting seventh.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Notches first big-league steal
Pages went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 win against the Padres. Pages withstood a Padres review challenge to pick up his first theft as a major-leaguer following an eighth-inning single. The 23-year-old hasn't been a big base-stealer as a pro, topping out at seven thefts in the minors, though he does have 83rd percentile sprint speed, per Statcast. Pages continues to see everyday playing time for the Dodgers, but he's tailed off a bit of late with a .158/.261/.158 slash line and 34.8 percent strikeout rate over his past six games.... Dodgers' Andy Pages: Tallies four hits
Pages went 4-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta. The four hits, all singles, were a new career high for Pages. The Dodgers rookie also drove in the game-winning run, bringing home Will Smith for a walkoff victory in the 11th inning. Pages has enjoyed a productive start to his big-league career, slashing .333/.354/.567 with three home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored over 65 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Homers, extends hitting streak
Pages went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks. Pages kicked off a five-run second inning for the Dodgers with a two-run shot off Jordan Montgomery following a one-out walk from Enrique Hernandez. It was the rookie outfielder's third home run of the campaign, and he's now hit safely in eight consecutive games. Over that stretch he's batting .363 (12-for-33) with two homers, seven RBI and seven runs scored.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Clubs first MLB home run
Pages went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a double in Sunday's win over the Mets. Pages crushed a home run to straightaway center off Grant Hartwig in the fifth to put the Dodgers up 10-0. Sunday was the first multi-hit game of his career and his first game driving in any runs. Since being called up, Pages has started in all five games and seems to have a clear path to an everyday role as long as Jason Heyward (back) remains out. The 23-year-old is slashing .222/.300/.500 with three extra-base hits and a 0:9 BB:K in 20 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Tallies hit in MLB debut
Pages went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Nationals. Pages swung at the first pitch he saw and notched a base hit to right field before later coming around to score. Manager Dave Roberts said Pages will play against both left- and right-handed pitching, so expect consistent playing time for the 23-year-old during his transition to the majors.... See More ... Dodgers' Andy Pages: Expected to receive promotion
The Dodgers are expected to recall Pages from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Pages, 23, is off to a scorching start at Oklahoma City, slashing .371/.452/.694 with five home runs and 15 RBI. Jason Heyward has had trouble getting over the hump with his back injury, so Pages could receive regular reps in a corner-outfield spot while Heyward recuperates. The right-handed hitter can also handle center field, so he would be an option to start at that position versus left-handed pitching on days the lefty-hitting James Outman is out of the lineup.... Dodgers' Andy Pages: Fully recovered from surgery
Pages (shoulder) is full-go at the beginning of Dodgers camp, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Pages underwent surgery last June to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, but he's fully recovered at the start of spring training. The outfield prospect suffered the injury in his first game at Triple-A Oklahoma City and is likely headed back to OKC to start the 2024 season.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Has season-ending shoulder surgery
Pages recently underwent season-ending surgery for a torn labrum, Baseball America reports. He tore his labrum in his left shoulder on a swing May 16 in his very first game after getting promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Pages is already on the 40-man roster and slashed .284/.430/.495 with three home runs and seven steals in 33 games with Double-A Tulsa.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Moves up to Triple-A
The Dodgers promoted Pages from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Pages and fellow outfield prospect Jonny DeLuca both made the jump to Triple-A on Tuesday, with Oklahoma City placing Bradley Zimmer on the development list and releasing Ben DeLuzio to open up roster spots for the two new arrivals. In his Oklahoma City debut, Pages started in right field and went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in the team's 4-3 win over Sugar Land. The 22-year-old received the bump up to Oklahoma City after getting on base at a .430 clip while chipping in 15 extra-base hits and seven stolen bases over 142 plate appearances at Tulsa.... Dodgers' Andy Pages: Optioned to minors by LAD
Pages was optioned Monday to minor-league camp by the Dodgers. Pages will begin the 2023 campaign in the minors but should have a chance to spend time with the Dodgers this summer. The 23-year-old outfielder forged just a .233 average for Double-A Tulsa last year, though he did contribute 26 homers and 80 RBI over 131 games. That power could give Pages a chance for fantasy relevancy in the coming years.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Joining 40-man roster
Pages was added to the Dodgers' 40-man roster Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports. Pages spent the 2022 campaign with Double-A Tulsa and produced a .233/.332/.465 slash line with 26 home runs, 80 RBI and six stolen bases in 131 contests. He's one of Los Angeles' top prospects, and the organization added him to the 40-man roster in order to protect him from the upcoming Rule 5 draft.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Emerging from slump in Double-A
Pages homered Tuesday for the second time in four games and is now hitting .231/.355/.410 with four homers and three steals on the season. The overall line doesn't look amazing, but Pages has shown a good eye (14 percent walk rate) and appears to be emerging from a horrible slump that lasted from late April well into last week -- he hit .089/.208/.133 over a span of 13 games. Before that, he'd been delivering a more typical level of production by his standards, hitting .316/.435/.509 across his first 15 games this year. The 21-year-old Cuban needs to find some more consistency, but he's got plenty of promise.... See More ... See Less -
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Showing power in High-A
Pages is hitting .242/.347/.531 with 16 home runs, five steals, 41 RBI and 47 runs across 53 games for High-A Great Lakes. The last time we saw Pages in action, he was tearing through rookie ball as an 18-year-old in 2019, and his power clearly hasn't gone anywhere, as he has the second-most homers in all of High-A. The strikeout rate's a little high (26.1 percent), but he's also drawing a good number of walks (10.6 percent) and getting a little unlucky in batting average due to a .262 BABIP. Expect the Dodgers to be patient with him as he develops, but he's a prospect to watch.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Andy Pages: Traded to Angels
Pages and Joc Pederson were traded from the Dodgers to the Angels in exchange for Luis Rengifo on Tuesday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN reports. More players could still be involved, but Pages, Pederson and Rengifo are the three known pieces to this point. Pages is coming off a big season in the Pioneer League with a 1.049 OPS, 19 home runs and 55 RBI in 63 games. The Pioneer League is notoriously hitter friendly, but his 165 wRC+ remains an impressive mark.... See More ... See Less
