Hunt was placed on waivers Saturday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Colorado.
Hunt produced seven goals and 21 points in 24 AHL contests last season. He also picked up 10 points, 46 shots on goal and 16 hits in 47 appearances with the Avalanche during the 2022-23 campaign.
