Tunsil underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil dealt with a few injuries throughout the 2023 season and his knee was drained on a few occasions. He's expected to recover fully, and he should not be in jeopardy to miss any time in training camp.... See More ... See Less

Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Returns to wild-card contest
Tunsil (knee) has re-entered Saturday's wild-card game against the Browns, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Tunsil was hurt in the second quarter of the contest and subsequently spent considerable time in the medical tent. However, he never headed to the locker room, and he's since returned to the playoff contest. The Pro Bowler's ability to resume play is a big sigh of relief for the Texans, who had slid George Fant over to left tackle while Tunsil was temporarily unable to play.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Hurts knee in wild-card game
Tunsil is questionable to return to Saturday's contest against Cleveland due to a knee injury. Tunsil had his knee rolled up on in the second quarter during an extra-point attempt. He remained on the field for some time before walking off the field and heading to the medical tent. Though Tunsil has since returned to the sideline, he's been deemed questionable to re-enter the game. George Fant has slid over to left tackle in Tunsil's absence, and Charlie Heck has entered at right tackle.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Good to go versus Colts
Tunsil (groin) is active for Saturday's game against the Colts, Drew Dougherty of the Texans' official site reports. Tunsil exited in the first half of Week 17 against the Titans with a groin injury. He was able to log back-to-back limited practice sessions this week and is good to go for the Texans' regular-season finale.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Questionable for Saturday
Tunsil (groin) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Colts. The starting left tackle missed practice Tuesday before participating on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday. Tunsil suffered the groin injury during the first half of the Texans' Week 17 win over the Titans and did not return. If he's able to go in Week 18, Houston will have a healthy offensive line as it fights for a playoff spot.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Won't return to Week 17 clash
Tunsil (groin) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus Tennessee. Tunsil suffered a groin injury in the first half and won't be able to return. The Texans were up by multiple scores when he was officially ruled out, but Tunsil's absence will still be felt as the team attempts to secure a critical victory in its quest for a playoff berth. George Fant has taken over for Tunsil at left tackle Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Full practice Thursday
Tunsil (knee) logged a full practice with the Texans on Thursday. Tunsil was unable to participate Wednesday, but his full participation one day later clears any doubt about his chances to play Sunday versus the Jets. The 29-year-old will be operating in his typical role at starting left tackle.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Officially active for Week 5
Tunsil (knee) is active for Sunday's contest against the Falcons. The veteran's return to the offensive line is a welcome one in protection of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. He'll takeover as the starting left tackle for Sunday's game against Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Set to play Sunday
Tunsil (knee) is set to return against the Falcons on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Tunsil has missed the last three games while dealing with a knee injury. He was a full participant in Friday's practice session and is set to reclaim his starting spot at left tackle.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Chance to play Sunday
Tunsil (knee) is listed as questionable going into Sunday's game against the Falcons. Tunsil has been trending in the right direction to play, as he went from a limited participant during Wednesday and Thursday's practices to a full participant Friday. The 29-year-old has missed Houston's last three games due to a knee issue, and if he's unable to suit up once again, Austin Deculus is likely to fill the void at left tackle.... See More ... Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Expected to sit out again
Tunsil (knee) will likely be ruled out for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil has been dealing with a persistent knee injury that kept him sidelined each of the past two weeks. The three-time Pro Bowler has been a stalwart on the left side of Houston's offensive line over the past five seasons, so his absence will leave quarterback C.J. Stroud without perhaps his best offensive lineman against Pittsburgh's hounding defensive front. With Josh Jones (hand) also expected to sit out Week 4, it's likely that Houston may opt to elevate someone from the practice squad to help supplement this depleted offensive line.... See More ... Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Listed as questionable
Tunsil (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Tunsil practiced in limited fashion all week and is looking like a true game-time decsion. He sat out the Texans' Week 2 game against the Colts and is in danger of missing another. If he does indeed sit out, Josh Jones would likely replace him on the offensive line.... See More ... Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Practices Wednesday
Tunsil (knee) was an active participant at the Texans' practice Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tunsil returned to practice Wednesday after missing Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Colts with a knee injury. It's unclear how much of a workload the left tackle had at practice, but his ability to give it a go at all bodes well for his chances to return in Week 3 against the Jaguars.... See More ... Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Still not 100 percent
Tunsil (knee) carries a day-to-day status heading into the practice week, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports. Tunsil was unable to play in Sunday's loss to the Colts and should be considered questionable for Week 3 against the Jaguars. His practice status in the days ahead will be worth monitoring after he was unable to participate Friday. If he can suit up against Jacksonville, it'd be a big boost to the Texans' offensive line, which allowed six sacks to the Colts and only facilitated 52 rushing yards on 26 carries for Houston's running backs.... Texans' Laremy Tunsil: Likely to be out
Tunsil (knee) is expected to be inactive Sunday against the Colts, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Tunsil's absence would be a significant blow to Houston's offensive line, which is already missing Tytus Howard (hand), Juice Scruggs (hamstring) and Kenyon Green (shoulder), who were expected to be starters this season. Assuming Tunsil is out, Josh Jones is expected to move from left guard to tackle, though it's not clear who would start at guard.... See More ... See Less
