  • Hurricanes' Evgeny Kuznetsov: Scores game-winning goal

Kuznetsov potted the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-1 win over New York in Game 5.

After being a healthy scratch in Game 2 of this series, Kuznetsov has now scored in consecutive contests to help keep Carolina's season alive. The 31-year-old forward drove to the net and buried a rebound off of a shot from Brady Skjei. It was Kuznetsov's fourth goal and sixth point of the postseason in nine contests. Kuznetsov and the Hurricanes will be at home Thursday night for Game 6 against the Rangers in another potential elimination game.

Drury also added a secondary helper on Martin Necas' empty-net goal that sealed the win for the Hurricanes. It was the first two points of the series for Drury and also his first multi-point outing of the postseason. In addition, the 24-year-old had three shots, two blocks, two hits and a plus-2 rating in 10:28 of ice time. Drury is up to one goal and four assists with a plus-6 rating in 10 contests so far this postseason.

So far this postseason, Staal is up to one goal and one assist with a plus-4 rating in 10 total contests.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Consecutive victories

Andersen turned aside 20 of 21 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Rangers in Game 5.

Andersen was solid Monday night as the Hurricanes were on the brink of elimination at Madison Square Garden. The 34-year-old did not face a heavy workload as Carolina played with more structure in front of the goaltender. It was only the second time in Andersen's nine starts so far this postseason that he's allowed less than two goals in a game. Carolina will need the veteran to be at his best again Thursday in Game 6 against New York. Andersen is 6-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .902 save percentage during the playoffs.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: First goalie off Monday

Andersen was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports, indicating he'll be in goal on the road for Game 5 against the Rangers.

Andersen was almost certainly going to get the start after helping the team stave off elimination by stopping 22 of 25 shots in Game 4. Still, the veteran netminder is sporting a lackluster .874 save percentage over his last four appearances. At this point, if Andersen can extend the series again, he should remain between the pipes heading into Game 6.

  • Hurricanes' Tony DeAngelo: Puts up helper in win

DeAngelo logged an assist and went minus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

DeAngelo has earned both of his helpers this postseason over the last three games. While he continues to see a bottom-four role due to the absence of Brett Pesce (lower body), DeAngelo isn't trusted to handle many minutes. In addition to two assists, he's managed 12 shots on net, six hits, five blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-2 rating over seven playoff appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Brent Burns: Generates assist

Burns logged an assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

Burns has three helpers over his last five contests. Through nine playoff outings, the veteran defenseman has produced four points, 22 shots on net, 15 blocks, six hits and a plus-5 rating. The 39-year-old remains on the top pairing and still sees a healthy amount of power-play time despite an increased role their for Brady Skjei.

Svechnikov is heating up with four points over his last three contests. He helped out on Brady Skjei's game-winning goal late in the third period Saturday. Svechnikov is up to nine points (two on the power play), 27 shots on net, 23 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-2 rating over nine playoff appearances. His best chance to contribute offense will be if he continues to play alongside Sebastian Aho and Jake Guentzel on the first line.

  • Hurricanes' Jake Guentzel: Contributes helper in win

Guentzel provided an assist, six shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

The winger is up to four goals, five assists, 25 shots on net, 16 PIM and a plus-5 rating. Guentzel's top-line assignment and significant power-play role will make him a key player as the Hurricanes look to bounce back from their 3-1 series deficit.

  • Hurricanes' Teuvo Teravainen: Dishes pair of helpers

Teravainen recorded two assists and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

Teravainen set up a Stefan Noesen goal in the first period as well as Brady Skjei's power-play game-winner in the third. The 29-year-old Teravainen had been held off the scoresheet in the first three contests of the second round. The winger is up to six points, 13 shots on net, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through nine playoff outings. He's been limited to middle-six minutes at even strength, but Teravainen is on the first power-play unit and has accumulated three points with the man advantage in the postseason.

Noesen scored a goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

The goal was Noesen's fourth of the postseason, though it was his first in four appearances in the second round. The 31-year-old has seen his ice time plummet during the playoffs, especially while serving in a fourth-line role against the Rangers. He's added 21 PIM, 12 hits and nine shots on net through nine playoff contests, but his limited ice time makes him a risky option for most DFS formats.

He was scratched in Game 2, and he continues to play in a bottom-six role, though he's also maintained a power-play assignment. The center has three goals, two assists, 13 shots on net, five hits and a plus-1 rating over eight playoff outings despite increasingly limited ice time -- he saw just 8:38 in Saturday's win.

Skjei scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

The goal was Skjei's first of the playoffs, but he's been heavily involved with seven assists and 20 shots on net over nine postseason appearances. The defenseman also has a plus-6 rating, 15 hits and 11 blocked shots as he continues to thrive in a top-four role.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Keeps season alive

Andersen stopped 22 of 25 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

Andersen got the nod for Game 4 after Pyotr Kochetkov couldn't turn the Hurricanes' fortunes around in Game 3. Andersen didn't have a great performance Saturday, but he did just enough to keep Carolina's season alive for one more contest. The 34-year-old is now 5-3 with a 2.63 GAA and an .897 save percentage through eight playoff outings. It won't get easier moving forward, as the Hurricanes are still facing elimination as the series shifts back to New York for Game 5 on Monday.
