Dillon (hand) will not be available against Colorado for Game 5 on Tuesday, John Lu of TSN reports. Dillon is stuck in a 12-game goal drought during which he has recorded four assists, 10 shots on goal and 45 hits while averaging 19:49 of ice time per contest. With Dillon sidelined, Logan Stanley stepped into the lineup for Game 4 and figures to remain in that role heading into Tuesday's contest.... See More ... See Less

Jets' Brenden Dillon: Out Sunday
Dillon (hand) won't play Sunday against the Avalanche, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. While Dillon has been ruled out for Game 4, there's a chance he could return Tuesday when the Jets return home for Game 5. Still, it's a tough blow for Winnipeg -- the veteran blueliner had three assists through the first three games of the series. Logan Stanley is expected to work on the second pairing in Dillon's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Questionable for Sunday
Dillon (hand) didn't suffer any muscle or tendon damage after being cut by a skate during a scrum at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3. Although it's great news that he didn't sustain a more serious injury, the 33-year-old defenseman did require stitches and remains questionable for Game 4 versus the Avalanche on Sunday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Saturday. Dillon has three assists, four PIM, 12 hits and six blocks while averaging 21:04 of ice time across three playoff contests this year. He also accumulated eight goals, 20 points, 92 PIM, 241 hits and 111 blocks in 77 regular-season outings. If Dillon can't play Sunday, Logan Stanley will likely draw into the lineup.... See More ... Jets' Brenden Dillon: Suffers hand injury
Dillon suffered a hand injury at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3, according to Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. There were fisticuffs at the final buzzer, and Dillon picked up roughing minors against Jack Johnson and Brandon Duhaime. Coach Rick Bowness said after the game that there was no update on Dillon's status as the defenseman was still being evaluated. If Dillon is unavailable for Sunday's Game 4 matchup, Logan Stanley or Colin Miller could be inserted into the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Generates assist Tuesday
Dillon logged an assist and three hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 2. Dillon already has three helpers over two playoff games -- he logged just one assist across his last nine regular-season outings. The 33-year-old defenseman is better known for his physical and defensive play than his offense, though he put up 20 points, 241 hits and 111 blocked shots in 77 contests during the regular season. He should continue to see time on the Jets' second pairing.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Earns pair of helpers
Dillon notched two assists, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Avalanche in Game 1. Dillon did his job well defensively and still had enough in the tank to help out on goals by Josh Morrissey and Adam Lowry. This was Dillon's first multi-point effort since Nov. 18. The veteran defenseman had 20 points, 241 hits, 111 blocked shots and 92 PIM over 77 regular-season appearances, offering some toughness in a top-four role.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Ready to play
Dillon (rest) will play in Sunday's postseason tilt against Colorado, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports. Dillon missed Thursday's matchup with the Canucks due to rest and will be fine to assume his usual top-four role against the Avalanche. He finished the regular season with eight goals and 20 points through 77 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Sitting Thursday
Dillon (rest) will sit out Thursday's regular-season finale at home against Vancouver, per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press. Dillion was a physical force throughout the regular season, recording 241 hits and 111 blocked shots. The 33-year-old also registered eight goals and 12 assists in 77 games this year. Look for him to skate in a top-four role during the playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Returns to lineup
Dillon registered a hit and a plus-3 rating in a 5-2 win over the Sabres on Sunday. After missing the last game with an illness, Dillon returned to his regular spot on the second pairing with partner Neal Pionk. Dillon finished with two shots, one hit, one blocked shot and a plus-3 rating in 17:47 of ice time. He can be a solid depth piece or streamer in deeper leagues for his contribution in hits -- he has 30 hits in his last eight games -- but his lack of offensive production limits Dillon's fantasy value.... Jets' Brenden Dillon: Ready to rock
Dillon (illness) will return to the lineup Sunday against Buffalo, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. Dillon sat out Saturday's 5-3 win over Carolina. His return could bump Logan Stanley to the press box as a healthy scratch. Dillon has accounted for seven goals, 16 points, 79 PIM, 73 blocked shots and 166 hits in 55 contests this campaign.... Jets' Brenden Dillon: Dealing with illness
Dillon (illness) won't play Saturday versus Carolina, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press. Logan Stanley will draw into the lineup due to Dillon's absence. The 33-year-old Dillon has seven goals, 16 points, 79 PIM, 73 blocked shots and 166 hits in 55 contests this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Scores Tuesday
Dillon scored a goal on two shots and delivered four hits in Tuesday's 4-2 win over St. Louis. Dillon extended Winnipeg's lead to 2-0 midway through the second period, beating Joel Hofer with a slapshot off an offensive-zone faceoff. It's the first point in 12 games for Dillon, whose last goal came Jan. 9. He's up to seven goals, a new career high, and 16 points through 54 games this season. While the 33-year-old blueliner won't offer much offensively, he certainly brings some physicality, having racked up 162 hits and 72 blocked shots on the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Eligible to play Saturday
Dillon has served his three-game ban and will be available to face Vancouver on Saturday. Dillon's return figures to see Logan Stanley relegated back to the press box. For his part, the 33-year-old Dillon was stuck in a seven-game pointless streak prior to his suspension and probably shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of offensive upside moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Given three-game ban
Dillon has been suspended three games for an illegal check to the head of Pittsburgh's Noel Acciari in Tuesday's game. Dillon hit Acciari high in the neutral zone, causing an injury to the Penguins forward. The three-game suspension will see Dillon miss the rematch against the Penguins on Saturday as well as Thursday's game versus the Flyers and next Wednesday's tilt versus the Sharks. He'll be eligible to return Feb. 17 versus the Canucks. Logan Stanley figures to fill in on the third pairing while Dillon is serving the suspension.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Slated to play
Dillon (back) is expected to play Tuesday versus Pittsburgh, according to Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. Dillon expects to play in Tuesday's contest after leaving Winnipeg's 4-2 loss to Toronto on Jan. 27 early due to a back injury. The 33-year-old rearguard has accounted for six goals, 15 points, 46 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and 115 hits in 47 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Won't finish contest
Dillon (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Maple Leafs. Dillon was hurt in the first period Saturday, though the severity of his injury is unknown. He may benefit from the upcoming All-Star break, as the Jets don't play again until Feb. 6 versus the Penguins.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Picks up helper on game-winner
Dillon notched an assist and three hits in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Blackhawks. Dillon has a goal and four assists over his last seven contests. He helped out on Nikolaj Ehlers' go-ahead goal with 1:05 left in the third period Thursday, which was enough to earn the win. Dillon's recent play on offense is not the norm for him, but he's having a strong campaign. The 33-year-old is at 15 points, 38 shots on net, 105 hits, 62 blocked shots, 51 PIM and a plus-17 rating through 41 appearances, putting him on pace for career-high numbers on offense for the second year in a row.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Registers assist in win
Dillon notched an assist and three hits in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Sharks. Dillon has a helper in three straight contests. The 33-year-old blueliner is capable of the occasional burst of offense, but he remains a mainly physical presence on the Jets' second pairing. He's up to 13 points, 97 hits, 56 blocked shots, 49 PIM, 32 shots on net and a plus-13 rating through 37 appearances. Dillon is on pace to top the career-best 23 points he had in 82 games last season.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Nets lone goal in loss
Dillon scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Sharks. Dillon's shot late in the first period squeaked through Mackenzie Blackwood to tie the game at 1-1. The 33-year-old Dillon has a goal and an assist over his last two outings, following his recent eight-game point drought. The physical blueliner is up to five goals, four assists, 26 shots on net, 38 PIM, 74 hits, 41 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 27 contests this season.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Logs assist
Dillon provided an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks. Dillon snapped an eight-game point drought with the helper. Prior to the slump, he had a stretch of seven points over seven games, but the hard-nosed blueliner was never going to sustain that scoring pace. He's collected eight points, 25 shots on net, 73 hits, 41 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 26 outings this season. His fantasy value is low in standard formats, but Dillon can be a helpful depth piece in deeper formats that reward physical play.... See More ... See Less
