The Panthers signed Gill on Monday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. The Wagner product spent the first three seasons of his career with the Buccaneers, and he'll remain in the NFC South after inking a deal with the Panthers. Gill was a key special teamer during his time in Tampa Bay, playing 768 special teams snaps (out of 952 total snaps) and recording 29 total tackles, including one tackle for loss and 1.5 sacks across the last three years. He's expected to compete for another special teams role in Carolina, while also providing some extra depth to the team's pass-rushing unit.... See More ... See Less

Buccaneers' Cam Gill: Able to play in Week 18
Gill (knee) is active for Sunday's contest versus the Panthers. Gill was questionable entering Sunday due to a knee issue, but he's been cleared to play. The third-year linebacker has worked primarily on special teams this season, though he logged a season-high 22 defensive snaps against New Orleans last Sunday. That opportunity came with Shaquil Barrett sidelined due to a groin injury, but Barrett is back in action Sunday, so Gill may revert to a smaller role in a contest Tampa Bay needs to win to cement the NFC South title.... Buccaneers' Cam Gill: Taking part in training camp
Gill (foot) was a participant during practice Thursday. Gill missed the entirety of the 2022 campaign due to a Lisfranc injury suffered during training camp. However, he's now fully healthy, and he should be working to earn a depth role in the Buccaneers' linebacker corps.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Cam Gill: Headed back to Tampa Bay
Gill (foot) is re-signing with the Buccaneers, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. Gill missed the entirety of last season after suffering a Lisfranc injury in August. Primarily a role player and special teamer in his first two seasons, the 25-year-old was slated for a bigger role this past season before suffering his injury, so it remains to be seen what his role with the team will be next season.... Buccaneers' Cam Gill: Nursing Lisfranc injury
Coach Todd Bowles said Monday that Gill (foot) suffered a Lisfranc injury during Saturday's preseason game and will be down for a while, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. The severity of the injury is still unknown, but it's a bad break either way for Gill, who was working to earn more reps at outside linebacker after playing most of his snaps on special teams over his first two years. As he works his way back from the injury, Andre Anthony should be in line for more opportunities at practice.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Cam Gill: Returns from IR
Gill returned to the active roster Saturday following a stint on injured reserve. The linebacker landed on IR in September with a calf injury and has not played yet this season. In 12 games last season, he was more of special teams player, logging only 22 snaps on defense.... See More ... See Less
