The defensive tackle's 2024 season is likely over unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team. Williams last appeared in an NFL game with Philadelphia in 2021.

Panthers' Spencer Brown: Moves to IR
Brown (undisclosed) reverted to the Panthers' injured reserve list Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Brown spent two stints with the Panthers' practice squad in 2023 but was never elevated to the active roster. He signed with Carolina as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and played in three games over the next two seasons, recording nine carries for 43 yards.

Panthers' T.J. Smith: Agrees to terms with Carolina
The Panthers signed Smith on Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Smith bounced back and forth between the Vikings' practice squad and active roster over the course of his three-year NFL career, but he's now found a new home in Carolina. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has appeared in four games during his time in the league, recording 11 total tackles while playing 108 total snaps (86 defensive, 22 on special teams). He's expected to compete for a backup role in the Panthers defense as the offseason advances.

Panthers' Cam Gill: Staying in NFC South
The Panthers signed Gill on Monday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
The Wagner product spent the first three seasons of his career with the Buccaneers, and he'll remain in the NFC South after inking a deal with the Panthers. Gill was a key special teamer during his time in Tampa Bay, playing 768 special teams snaps (out of 952 total snaps) and recording 29 total tackles, including one tackle for loss and 1.5 sacks across the last three years. He's expected to compete for another special teams role in Carolina, while also providing some extra depth to the team's pass-rushing unit.

Panthers' Sam Pinckney: Caught by Carolina
Pinckney has agreed to terms on a contract with the Panthers.
After starting his collegiate career at Georgia State, Pinckney played his final two seasons at Coastal Carolina. He finished his 2023 season with 1,027 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 72 receptions. The rookie will now compete against a plethora of pass catchers for a chance to make the 53-man roster.

Panthers' Kevin Foelsch: Lands in Carolina
Foelsch officially agreed to terms with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent Friday.
Foelsch, a New Haven product, is coming off a productive senior season that saw him accumulate 318 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 32 receptions. The rookie will now look to make an impression in Carolina during offseason workouts. He will presumably compete with the likes of Jordan Matthews, Stephen Sullivan and Ian Thomas for a reserve role at tight end.
