Lopez was lifted from Monday's start against the Cubs early due to back tightness, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. He didn't factor into the decision after allowing two hits and two walks while striking out four over five scoreless innings.
Lopez was removed from the game firing 71 pitches, and he likely would've gone back out for the sixth had his back not become an issue. He'll be considered day-to-day leading up to his next outing, but the club expects him to be ready for his next start, per Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Kelenic is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
The lefty-hitting Kelenic will retreat to the bench for the series opener versus the Cubs with ace lefty Shota Imanaga taking the bump for Chicago. The right-handed-hitting Adam Duvall will fill in for Kelenic in left field.

Riley was lifted in the bottom of the fourth inning of Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets after experiencing left side tightness, which reportedly first surfaced during batting practice earlier that day. While Atlanta remains hopeful that Riley isn't dealing with a long-term injury, more will be known once the MRI results are in later Monday. Zack Short will pick up a start at the hot corner Monday while Riley exits the starting nine for the first time all season.

The southpaw has primarily been used as a lower-leverage long relief option this season, throwing two-plus innings in seven if his 11 appearances, but Lee was brought in with one out in the eighth inning to protect a 3-2 lead and needed only seven pitches (five strikes) to retire Joey Wendle and Harrison Bader. Lee's been effective no matter his role, posting a 1.40 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB through 19.1 innings, and with Tyler Matzek (elbow) on the shelf and A.J. Minter struggling of late -- he blew the save in the ninth Sunday -- Lee could see more high-leverage usage.

Elder fell just two outs short of his second quality start of the year. The lone damage against him came off the bat of Pete Alonso, who had an RBI single in the third and another run scoring double in the sixth. Elder tossed 65 of 85 pitches for strikes and managed to not issue any free passes after allowing eight walks over his last 8.2 innings. The 25-year-old owns a 4.79 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB in 20.2 innings and lines up for a home start against the Padres his next time out.

Minter was charged with a blown save in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets after allowing two runs on two hits while managing to get just one out.
Minter was called upon to close things out in the ninth with Raisel Iglesias unavailable to pitch and failed to take advantage. Jeff McNeil reached on a bunt single before Brandon Nimmo ended things with a two-run walk off homer to center field. Minter has now suffered three blown saves this season and has coughed up runs in two of his last three outings. He owns a 3.78 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 16.2 innings.

With the team launching a three-game home series against the Cubs on Monday, there's a chance that Riley misses some, if not all, of the series as Atlanta will likely be cautious with the talented 26-year-old.

Fried (3-1) earned the win over the Mets on Saturday, allowing three walks while striking out five batters over seven scoreless and hitless innings.
Fried threw 109 pitches during his seven frames, so manager Brian Snitker didn't allow him to push any further for an individual no-hitter. Atlanta's bullpen carried the no-no into the ninth inning before J.D. Martinez ended the combined bid with a two-out solo homer off Raisel Iglesias. Though he didn't etch his name in the record books, Fried bounced back very nicely after giving up four runs over seven frames and picking up his first loss in his previous outing. He's now notched four quality starts on the campaign.
Acuna went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Mets.
He took Jose Quintana deep in the third inning, part of a four-run frame for Atlanta. Acuna may be turning things around at the plate -- after posting a 26.5 percent strikeout rate in April, he's fanned just 19.4 percent of the time through the first seven games in May. He's also batting .310 (9-for-29) to begin the month with two of his three homers on the season.
