  • Royals' Brady Singer: Goes five innings versus Rays

Singer allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision versus the Rays on Saturday.

The Royals jumped out to a 2-0 lead after three innings, but Singer gave it back before his exit. The right-hander threw 57 of 90 pitches for strikes in a decent outing. He's been sharp this season, allowing one earned run or zero in eight of his 11 starts en route to a 2.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:19 K:BB through 61.2 innings. Singer's next start is projected to be at Minnesota.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Fans nine in win

Singer (4-2) allowed a run on six hits and a walk over six innings Sunday, striking out nine and earning a win over the Athletics.

Aside from an RBI double by Tyler Soderstrom in the fourth inning, Oakland had nothing going against Singer. Out of 10 starts this season, Singer has allowed two or fewer runs in eight of them. He posted a disappointing 5.52 ERA through 159.2 innings last season but has taken a massive step forward in 2024. Singer lowered his ERA to 2.70 with a 61:17 K:BB through 56.2 innings. His next start is lined up to be in Tampa Bay next weekend.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Falls to Mariners

Singer (3-2) took the loss against Seattle on Monday, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out six batters over five innings.

Singer came into Monday having allowed exactly one run in three straight starts, but he couldn't keep that momentum going. The right-hander yielded four runs across the second and third frames, marking just the second time this season he's given up that many runs over an entire game. Singer still has a strong 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP through nine starts on the campaign, and he's tossed at least five frames in each of his outings thus far.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Gets back in win column

Singer (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Singer tallied his first win in five starts, yielding one run for a third consecutive outing. He settled in nicely after allowing doubles to the first two batters he faced, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard following the first frame. Singer has allowed more than two runs in just one start this season and owns a 2.36 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 45.2 innings. He's lined up for a start in Seattle on Monday.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Punches out eight

Singer took a no-decision Friday against the Rangers after allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out eight batters through six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Although Singer turned in yet another strong outing Friday, his contributions went unrewarded as the Royals were unable to take the lead until after the 27-year-old was removed from the game, giving the win to John Schreiber instead. Singer didn't get the win, but his 2.45 ERA and 42 strikeouts through 40.1 innings on the season still give fantasy managers plenty of reason to be pleased with his performance to begin the year.
