Pinto re-signed with the Tigers on a minor-league contract earlier in the offseason, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Pinto is expected to spent most of the 2022 season at Triple-A Toledo, where he saw the bulk of his action in 2021. He made 17 of his 23 starts with Toledo, posting a 4.63 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 95.1 innings. Pinto previously received cups of coffee in the big leagues with the Phillies in 2017 and with the Rays in 2019.
