The 2024-25 Serie A season is in full swing as the usual giants aim to fight for the title, while other clubs hope they can pull off what Bologna did last season and surprisingly qualify for the Champions League. Inter and Napoli look like the favorites to win the league on paper, but teams like Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli hope to spoil the party in what is turning out to be another thrilling campaign.

Game of the week: AC Milan vs. AS Roma

On Sunday AC Milan will host the Giallorossi at San Siro for the biggest game of the weekend, but it's still unsure if Paulo Fonseca will be counting on USMNT star Christian Pulisic, who is close to make his comeback after injury, but more likely to start next week in the Italian Super Cup semifinal against Juventus. Claudio Ranieri's side, on the other hand, is making a slow comeback and have won two of the last three Serie A matches.

Thiago Motta's side are now in a good run with two wins in one week between the Coppa Italia's Round of 16 and the last Serie A clash, but need another win to consolidate their status while Raffaele Palladino's team are tied points with the Bianconeri but with one game in hand.
