It's another rivalry game between Manchester United and Liverpool but things have changed a bit ahead of their meeting on Sunday. It'll be the biggest test of the young season so far for new Liverpool manager Arne Slot but his Reds will also test Manchester United's new-look defense. Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt will bring a much-needed boost to the side but they also need more minutes to solidify their partnership. The match could come too soon for Manuel Ugarte to make his debut after signing on deadline day from PSG.

Here are our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

Storylines

Manchester United: After losing to Brighton, Erik ten Hag will look for a bounce-back result but he'll also need to replace Mason Mount in the XI. The English midfielder will miss out with a hamstring injury which could lead to Alejandro Garnacho starting his first match of the season. Liverpool have allowed chances on the counterattack this season so the Argentine's ability to beat teams over the top will be important.

Liverpool: The Reds made a signing of their own in Federico Chiesa. Joining from Juventus, this move will be a chance for the Italian to return to the form that had him pinned as a star for years to come. Liverpool know wingers from Serie A quite well with Mohamed Salah making a similar jump and their depth will help make sure that Chiesa has the time that he needs to adjust. Lineup-wise, things have been stable under Slot so many changes shouldn't be expected to the XI.

Prediction

Manchester United will give Liverpool a run for their money but the defense will let them down once again as they'll have to settle for a draw. Pick: Manchester United 1, Liverpool 1
