Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Best game of season Monday
Donato notched two goals, including an empty-netter in the final minute of the third period, and one assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche.
Donato endured a slow start to the season with only one point over his first four outings, but he's bounced back of late. The 28-year-old has cracked the scoresheet in three of his last four appearances, and this was his first multi-goal -- and multi-point -- game of the campaign. Donato is certainly trending in the right direction and will aim to keep the streak alive when facing the Sharks on Thursday.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Scores in loss to Dallas
Donato scored a goal while adding three shots and four hits in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Stars.
Donato has scored three goals over his last six outings while attempting nine shots, so he's making the most of his chances to find the back of the net. However, he plays on the fourth line of a rebuilding team, so his chances to produce on a consistent basis aren't very high, limiting his fantasy upside considerably in most formats.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Chips in goal in loss
Donato scored on his only shot on net in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Vancouver.
Donato scored his second goal of the season at even strength in the first period of Tuesday's loss. The 28-year-old will be hard-pressed to find offense in 2024-25 due to his bottom-six role and lack of time on the man advantage. The left-shot forward has recorded two goals, two PIM, five shots, 11 hits and three takeaways across five outings. Donato is in the final season of a two-year deal signed with Chicago in July of 2023.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Pots Chicago's lone goal in loss
Donato scored a goal on his only shot in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss against Winnipeg.
Donato whistled a wrist shot past Connor Hellebuyck after being sprung on a bank pass off the boards from Patrick Maroon to open the scoring in Friday's contest. Donato added two hits and a plus-1 rating in 10:51 of ice time. Offensive production will be hard to come by for the 28-year-old forward, given his fourth-line role, but Donato has performed capably as a depth forward with at least 30 points in two of the last three seasons. The left-shot forward would get a boost from staying on Chicago's second power-play unit, but he has been on and off during man-advantage situations so far this campaign.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Two-point effort Saturday
Donato scored a goal on four shots, added an assist, went plus-2 and logged two PIM in Saturday's 6-2 preseason win over the Blues.
Donato opened the scoring in the first period and set up a Frank Nazar tally midway through the second. Over three preseason contests, Donato put up three points. The 28-year-old is versatile enough to play center or wing, but with the Blackhawks' summer spending spree on wingers, Donato's best path to consistent playing time will be as the fourth-line center.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Earns two points in overtime loss
Donato scored a goal on two shots, dished a power-play assist and added two hits in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings.
Donato made an impact in the Blackhawks' third-period rally, and the two-point effort got him to 30 points for the season. The 28-year-old ends the campaign with 12 goals, 18 helpers, 149 shots on net, 105 hits and a minus-14 rating over 78 appearances. Donato is under contract for 2024-25, so he'll likely be in line for a similar bottom-six role as a decent depth scorer next season.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Notches assist
Donato recorded an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Donato has picked up three helpers over six games in April. The 28-year-old continues to bounce around the lineup, though he rarely sees more than bottom-six minutes regardless of which line he's listed on. Donato is at 28 points, 146 shots on net, 101 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 76 appearances, surpassing his 27-point campaign last year with Seattle.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Three points in comeback win
Donato scored a goal on three shots, dished two assists and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Sharks.
Donato sparked the Blackhawks' comeback with a goal, then set up Tyler Johnson and Philipp Kurashev for tallies during the rally. This was Donato's first three-point effort of the season, and it's notable he did that from a bottom-six role rather than alongside Connor Bedard. Donato is up to 11 goals, 25 points, 139 shots on net, 89 hits and a minus-15 rating through 67 appearances, putting him right in line with his level of offense from the past two seasons.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Nets power-play marker
Donato scored a power-play goal on three shots in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Ducks.
Donato has three goals and two assists over six contests in March. His tally Tuesday was his first power-play point since Jan. 16, though he's maintained a fairly steady role on the second unit during that time. The 27-year-old forward has been a solid depth scorer with 21 points, 121 shots on net, 75 hits and a minus-19 rating through 62 outings. He's been on the fourth line lately, which gives him minimal fantasy value even with the power-play role.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Two points in win
Donato tallied a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Coyotes.
Donato picked up an assist on Connor Bedard's goal in the second period before extending Chicago's lead to 6-4 in the third, beating Connor Ingram with a wrister from the circle. It's Donato's second multi-point effort in his last five games, though the 27-year-old winger has just two goals and seven points in his last 31 contests. While Donato's usage on the power play could offer some value in deeper leagues, he shouldn't be counted on for consistent scoring production. He's up to eight goals and 20 points through 61 games this season.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Goal, assist in loss
Donato scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and logged three hits in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Donato earned his first multi-point effort since Dec. 19 in this contest. The 27-year-old has bounced around the lineup a bit, but he's been on the first line recently, giving him a little upside while playing alongside Connor Bedard. Donato has 18 points, 106 shots on net, 67 hits and a minus-19 rating through 57 appearances. He's worth a look in deep fantasy formats as long as he holds onto a top-line role.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Generates assist in loss
Donato notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canucks.
Donato helped out on a Kevin Korchinski tally in the third period. The assist snapped a six-game slump for Donato. The 27-year-old forward has a decent 15 points with 95 shots on net, 55 hits and a minus-16 rating over 49 appearances. He's not much of an option in fantasy when playing in a bottom-six role -- much of his production this season has come when he's been moved into a better spot in the lineup.

Donato scored a goal in a 5-2 loss to Montreal on Friday.
Donato provided his second tally and third point over his last two games, bringing him up to six goals and 13 points in 30 contests this year. His offensive pace is a little better than what it was in Seattle when he finished with 14 goals and 27 points in 2022-23, though that's not surprising given his increased role. Donato is averaging 14:11 of ice time this campaign, which is up from 11:15 last campaign.

The 27-year-old center snapped a six-game point drought with his first multi-point performance of the season. Donato typically skates in a bottom-six role but has been seeing power-play time for Chicago, and he has collected four goals and nine points in 19 games -- a pace that would allow him to top the career-high 16 goals and 31 points he scored for the Kraken in 2021-22.
