Commanders' Jordan Magee: Ready for return
Magee (knee) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday.
Magee's 21-day window to be moved to the 53-man roster was coming to an end, and if he had not been activated, he would have had to miss the remainder of the season. However, barring any setbacks, the rookie linebacker should make his NFL debut Sunday against the Bears.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Window opens
Magee (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday.
Magee has missed the mandatory four games since being on IR at the beginning of Week 1 prep. The rookie linebacker will now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before he needs to be added to the 53-man roster. Considering the amount of time Magee has missed, it's unlikely he'd suit up Sunday against the Browns, but greater clarity will likely be available closer to the Week 5 matchup.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Opening season on IR
Magee (knee) was placed on injured reserve by the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official website reports.
Magee underwent surgery to address a meniscus injury over a week ago, and he'll now be forced to miss at least Washington's first four games of the 2024 season. The linebacker is eligible to return as soon as Week 5 against the Browns on Oct. 6.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Undergoes knee procedure
Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Monday that Magee underwent a procedure on his knee, but the injury isn't expected to be season-ending, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
The rookie linebacker out of Temple sustained a meniscus injury during the Commanders' first preseason game against the Jets, and it appears he'll be sidelined for the foreseeable future after having surgery. According to Quinn, there's no timetable for Magee's return at the moment, but Washington's head coach remains confident that Magee will return at some point this season. Expect Justin Hollins to see more work as a rotational inside linebacker with Magee sidelined.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Picks up knee injury
Magee sustained a knee injury during Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
It's not clear at this point just how severe the issue might be, but Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that it would keep Magee out for the rest of the week. His absence could open up some opportunities for fellow rookie Bo Bauer to make an impression during drills.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Nabbed by Washington
The Commanders selected Magee in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 139th overall.
The Bobby Wagner signing will be a bridge at the inside linebacker spot while Magee develops. Magee, a Temple product, had two seasons over 80 tackles and had 23 tackles for loss over his last two seasons with the Owls. Like several of the off-ball linebackers in this class, Magee is on the lighter side for the position at 228 pounds on a 6-foot-1 frame, but he can fly to the ball with 4.55 speed. He and Jamin Davis could combine to give Washington an uber-athletic linebackers group.
