  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Cashes in all five targets Sunday

Strange corralled all five of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers.

Strange finished with the most receptions for the Jaguars on Sunday, but it was fellow tight end Evan Engram who produced the better fantasy line (4-36-1). Strange has provided low-end fantasy value as a sophomore and should be treated as such heading into next Sunday's road tilt against the Eagles.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: No targets in win

Strange did not draw any targets in Sunday's 32-16 win against the Patriots.

The Jaguars were able to leverage a very run-heavy attack offensively in Week 7, so Strange's snap count (27) actually lagged behind that of blocking specialist Luke Farrell (30). As long as Evan Engram is healthy, Strange won't be anything more than a fantasy dart throw.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Two targets in Engram's return

Strange caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 35-16 loss to the Bears.

Strange faded back into obscurity as Evan Engram returned from a hamstring injury and led the Jaguars with 10 catches for 102 yards. Strange saw an end-zone target despite Engram's presence, but the 2023 second-round pick will be tough to rely on from a fantasy standpoint now that he's back in a No. 2 role.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Likely heading to backup role

Strange could see a reduction in playing time Sunday against the Bears due to Evan Engram (hamstring) being active for the first time since Week 1, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

After Engram injured his hamstring in pregame warmups prior to the Jaguars' Week 2 loss to the Browns, Strange has performed admirably as the team's No. 1 tight end over the past four contests, putting together a 12-120-2 receiving line on 18 targets. Though Engram will likely start Sunday's contest, the Jaguars could ease him back in with a lighter snap count than usual, given that he remained a limited participant in practice all week. Even so, the return of Engram is still expected to result in fewer snaps for Strange, whose limited fantasy appeal will likely fall by the wayside.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Catches another touchdown

Strange secured all four of his targets for 24 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-34 win against the Colts.

The 2023 second-round pick played 49 of 58 offensive snaps as Evan Engram (hamstring) sat out a fourth straight game after being labeled questionable. Strange wasn't significantly involved in the passing game but still finished tied for third on the team in targets and receptions while tallying his second touchdown of the season. Engram appears to be closing in on his return to game action, at which point Strange should see reduced opportunities as Jacksonville's No. 2 tight end.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Brings in three targets

Strange secured all three of his targets for 19 yards during Sunday's' 24-20 loss to the Texans.

Strange has drawn three straight starts at tight end with Evan Engram (hamstring) sidelined, and has been the busier pass-catcher over Luke Farrell (zero catches, one target versus Houston). In that span, Strange has caught eight of 14 targets for 96 yards and one score. If Engram is able to get back on the field against the Colts in Week 5, however, Strange figures to return to a depth role.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Scores second career TD

Strange secured two of five targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 47-10 loss to the Bills on Monday night.

The second-year tight end capped off the opening possession of the second half with a six-yard touchdown grab, his second career score. Strange was coming off a career-best 3-65-0 line on six targets against the Browns in Week 2, and he and Luke Farrell once again helped make up for the absence of Evan Engram (hamstring) on Monday night. If Engram is able to suit up for Sunday's Week 4 road clash against the Texans, both reserve tight ends figure to return to fantasy irrelevance except in very deep formats.
