  • Tae Hayes: Let go by Jets

    The Jets cut Hayes on Monday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

    Per the report, the move arrives a day after the cornerback -- who first saw NFL action in 2019 -- was arrested in Alabama for possession of marijuana. Hayes, who signed with the Jets' practice squad last October, recorded two tackles in Week 6 of the 2023 season and then spent the remainder of the campaign on the team's practice squad.

    Hayes was claimed off waivers by Baltimore on Sunday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

    Hayes was waived by the Lions after signing with the team Aug. 5. The 25-year-old is well-traveled in his career thus far, seeing action with the Dolphins, Vikings, Panthers and Patriots while also having a short stay with the Cardinals. He'll now work to earn a role in Baltimore's secondary.
