Tae Hayes: Let go by Jets
The Jets cut Hayes on Monday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Per the report, the move arrives a day after the cornerback -- who first saw NFL action in 2019 -- was arrested in Alabama for possession of marijuana. Hayes, who signed with the Jets' practice squad last October, recorded two tackles in Week 6 of the 2023 season and then spent the remainder of the campaign on the team's practice squad.

Ravens' Tae Hayes: Picked up by Ravens
Hayes was claimed off waivers by Baltimore on Sunday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Hayes was waived by the Lions after signing with the team Aug. 5. The 25-year-old is well-traveled in his career thus far, seeing action with the Dolphins, Vikings, Panthers and Patriots while also having a short stay with the Cardinals. He'll now work to earn a role in Baltimore's secondary.

Lions' Tae Hayes: Headed to Motown
The Lions have signed Hayes to a contract, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hayes' journeryman NFL career continues, as Detroit will be the sixth team he has played for as he enters his fourth season. He suited up for five games with the Panthers in 2022 and two with the Patriots. The 25-year-old will now compete for a depth cornerback role for the upcoming season.

Arizona cut Hayes on Thursday, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Hayes linked up with the Cardinals after a tryout back in May, but the third-year pro will now need to search for a reserve opportunity elsewhere. Arizona activated Lorenzo Burns (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list in a corresponding move.

Arizona hosted Hayes for a tryout during rookie minicamp, and the 23-year-old managed to parlay that opportunity into a spot on the offseason roster. Hayes now will focus his attention toward competing for a depth role. He spent time with the Vikings and Dolphins in 2020.
