Deneric Prince: Joins Miami's practice squad
The Dolphins signed Prince to the practice squad Friday.
Prince built some momentum during the preseason with Kansas City, and he now resurfaces in one of the only landing spots around the league as intriguing as his previous offense. Coach Mike McDaniel's rushing scheme seems like one Prince could thrive in, if given an opportunity, but his path to game-day activation is murky. The Dolphins have reason to be confident in both Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson as capable contributors if either of Raheem Mostert or De'Von Achane are forced to miss any time.

Deneric Prince: Let go by KC
Kansas City has waived Prince, according to Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star.
With Prince not slated to be included on the team's initial 53-man roster, Carson Steele appears to have secured a depth role in the backfield behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Prince could still land on Kansas City's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Minor contributions in loss
Prince rushed three times for minus-1 yard and brought in his only target for three yards in the Chiefs' 34-21 preseason loss to the Bears on Thursday night.
Prince saw both Carson Steele and Keaontay Ingram -- the latter his primary competition for a reserve running back spot -- fill larger roles in the preseason finale. Prince appeared in two regular-season games as an undrafted rookie in 2023, but it remains to be seen where he'll slot in on the depth chart come Week 1, with Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire also in the team's backfield mix.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Six touches in preseason loss
Prince rushed four times for 16 yards and brought in both targets for 10 yards in the Chiefs' 26-13 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night. He also returned one kickoff for 25 yards.
Prince was the third running back to record a touch after Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire had finished their work for the night. The second-year Tulsa product currently slots in as the No. 3 running back on the preseason depth chart, but he'll have to hold off the more experienced Keaontay Ingram for that role over the remaining two preseason games.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Rotates in ahead of Edwards-Helaire
Prince was the second Kansas City running back to take a carry during Tuesday's run period, behind only Isiah Pacheco, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Prince spent most of 2023 on the team's practice squad after going undrafted in the spring, with his two regular-season appearances yielding 15 snaps on special teams. He has another shot to earn a backup role, as the defending Super Bowl champions didn't do much to reinforce their backfield behind Pacheco this offseason, merely re-signing Clyde Edwards-Helaire and bringing in more undrafted rookies. Prince probably isn't ahead of Edwards-Helaire on the depth chart but might be viewed as a better fit for early downs and/or short-yardage situations if Pacheco were to miss time with an injury.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Remaining in Kansas City
Prince signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Prince will return to Kansas City where he spent time on the practice squad after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent last may. The 23-year-old played in two games but failed to record any stats and will look to secure a roster spot heading into the 2024 campaign.

Deneric Prince: Back to practice squad
Prince reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Monday.
Prince played 10 snaps on special teams, failing to record a stat in the team's 27-17 win over the Patriots on Sunday. If Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) is unavailable in Week 16, Prince could be elevated again ahead of Kansas City's matchup with the Raiders on Christmas Day.

Deneric Prince: Back to practice squad
Prince reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Monday.
Despite the absence of Isiah Pacheco (shoulder), Prince was unable to crack the backfield rotation of Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. Prince played just five snaps on special teams and none on offense. He'll wait for another opportunity to be elevated, which could happen Week 15 against the Patriots if Pacheco sits out for a second straight game.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Moves to active roster
Prince was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.
It'll be interesting to see how the Chiefs will utilize Prince, especially in the absence of Isiah Pacheco (shoulder). Head coach Andy Reid stated Clyde Edwards-Helaire would be the team's de-facto starter and it's widely expected Jerick McKinnon will likely see a significant snap share as the team's pass-catching back, but it's possible the rookie Prince could whittle away at the former's opportunities, especially in obvious running situations.

Chiefs' Deneric Prince: Elevated ahead of Sunday's contest
The Chiefs elevated Prince to their active roster Saturday.
The rookie running back's elevation likely comes in response to Jerick McKinnon (groin) being ruled out for Sunday night's affair. Prince has yet to appear in an NFL game, but he's been with Kansas City's practice squad since the end of August. He'll more than likely back up Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the Chiefs' Week 13 outing.

Deneric Prince: Joins practice squad
Prince was picked up by the Chiefs' practice squad Wednesday.
With Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire ahead of him on the depth chart, Prince was always considered to be a long shot in terms of making it through final cuts. However, he will now get to remain in Kansas City and continue practicing with the team while he awaits the possibility of being called up should the depth ahead of him require it.
