Falcons' Dylan Drummond: Inks deal with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Drummond on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The Eastern Michigan product was most recently with the Giants' practice squad, but he's now been given a new opportunity in Atlanta. Drummond's only in-game action came Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season with the Lions, playing a total of eight snaps and failing to record a single stat. Expect Drummond to compete for a depth role in Atlanta's wide receiver room as the offseason unfolds.

New York signed Drummond to its practice squad Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Drummond has found a new home just one day after the Lions dropped him from their practice squad. The rookie wideout signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent this offseason, and he's appeared in one game thus far, playing eight total snaps (five offensive and three on special teams).

Drummond joined Detroit in the spring as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan. After being unable to make the squad out of camp, he secured a practice squad spot, which resulted in one elevation to the active roster in Week 5 against the Panthers. In a corresponding move, the Lions signed fellow wideout Tom Kennedy to the practice squad.

Drummond was elevated to the active roster for the first time in his career Sunday versus the Panthers, failing to record a snap while playing eight snaps between the offensive unit and special teams. The wide receiver could be asked to join the Lions again in Week 6 if Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) can't go for a second week in a row.

Drummond was one of the bright spots during Detroit's training camp. However, he came up just short after making an unlikely run at the 53-man roster. The pass catcher started as a tryout player, which meant he faced extraordinarily long odds at making the team, but he nearly accomplished the feat. He is now a very strong candidate to land on the Lions' practice squad.
