Campbell (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports. Campbell has been out since mid-April with a right shoulder impingement, but he's finally ready to move on to the final phase of his recovery process. He will likely need multiple rehab appearances before returning from the 15-day injured list and rejoining Boston's bullpen.... See More ... See Less

Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: Throwing from 90 feet
Campbell (shoulder) has been playing catch from 90 feet, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports. Campbell has been on the injured list since April 12 with a right shoulder impingement, and his throwing program has progressed slower than expected, though manager Alex Cora said the right-hander is feeling better. He remains without a clear return timeline, but one may emerge once he progresses to mound work and faces live hitters.... See More ... See Less -
Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: Placed on injured list
The Red Sox placed Campbell on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right shoulder impingement, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports. Campbell gave up six runs in one inning during Thursday's loss against Baltimore, and his shoulder injury could help explain his poor performance. He'll now be sidelined for the next couple of weeks, and Bobby Dalbec will come up from Triple-A Worcester to take the right-hander's spot on the active roster.... See More ... See Less -
Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: Shipped to Boston
Boston acquired Campbell from the Mariners on Friday in exchange for Luis Urias, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. Campbell worked to a sharp 2.83 ERA and 33:13 K:BB over his first 28.2 major-league innings this past season for Seattle. The 26-year-old right-hander should be in the Opening Day bullpen mix with the Red Sox in 2024.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Isaiah Campbell: Grabs first big-league win
Campbell (1-0), promoted from Double-A Arkansas earlier in the day, got the win against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing a hit and a walk while also hitting a batter over one-third of an inning. The right-hander extended his career-opening scoreless appearance streak to four games with Saturday's eventful outing, which saw him escape a jam largely of his own making in the seventh by getting George Springer to ground out into an inning-ending fielder's choice. Campbell then became the pitcher of record when the Mariners mounted a five-run rally in the home half of the frame, affording him delayed gratification for what had been an impressive first 3.2 scoreless innings of his career over three appearances before a brief demotion Wednesday.... Mariners' Isaiah Campbell: Back in majors
Campbell was recalled from Double-A Arkansas on Saturday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. Campbell was just sent down Wednesday but made a quick return with the Mariners needing a fresh bullpen arm. The rookie reliever has spun 3.2 hitless innings with six strikeouts in the majors this season.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Isaiah Campbell: Optioned to Double-A
Campbell was optioned to Double-A Arkansas on Friday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports. Campbell recorded a 1.57 ERA and 0.93 WHIP over 46 innings between High-A and Double-A ball last season. He possesses elite strikeout stuff (10.9 career K/9) and could break into Triple-A before the end of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Isaiah Campbell: Healthy to open season
Campbell (elbow) is scheduled to start High-A Everett's season opener Friday versus Eugene, Everett radio broadcaster Pat Dillon reports. Campbell didn't pitch after June 4 last season due to a right elbow injury that later required arthroscopic surgery, but it looks as though he's back to full strength heading into 2022. The 24-year-old will be returning to Everett after he submitted a 2.33 ERA and 0.99 WHIP across 19.1 innings with the affiliate last season before being shut down.... See More ... See Less
