Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Exits early with hamstring injury
Bogaerts (hamstring) exited Sunday's 10-2 win over the Dodgers in the eighth inning due to a hamstring injury, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
Bogaerts launched a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning before exiting the contest soon after with what has been described as a hamstring cramp. Tyler Wade replaced him at shortstop ahead of the bottom of the frame. Bogaerts finished his night 1-for-4 with the solo shot, and his availability moving forward doesn't seem to be in question.

Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Swats homer in win
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's win over the White Sox.

It marked the shortstop's 11th long ball on the campaign and his fourth this month, during which he's batting just .234 with 10 RBI and six runs scored. Bogaerts has also hit safely in each of his last three contests, though he had gone five games without recording a run or an RBI coming into Saturday.

Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Starts at shortstop Tuesday
Bogaerts started at shortstop and went 0-for-4 win Tuesday's 7-3 win against the Mariners.
San Diego had been considering moving Bogaerts from second to shortstop with the timeline for Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) to return from the IL looking murky. Bogaerts' start at shortstop was his first of the campaign, though he had been used there four times previously this year and had played almost exclusively at the position before shifting to second base to begin this season. Jake Cronenworth shifted from first base to second Tuesday while Donovan Solano started at first base, and that could be the most common configuration for the Padres moving forward -- at least against right-handed pitchers -- for as long as Kim remains sidelined.

Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Goes deep Sunday
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's loss to the Giants.
Bogaerts' only hit of the afternoon was a two-run shot to left in the eighth to bring the Padres within a run after they were down 6-0. That's his third home run over the last nine games after having just six in his other 86 games this season. He's showcased his lowest slugging percentage and OPS this year since his first full MLB season in 2014 and is now slashing .266/.210/.379 with 23 extra-base hits, 36 RBI, 46 runs, 10 steals and a 25:67 BB:K in 400 plate appearances.

Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Move back to shortstop possible
The Padres are mulling the possibility of moving Bogaerts back to shortstop as Ha-Seong Kim's (shoulder) progress stalls, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Bogaerts has expressed a desire to remain at second base now that he's become comfortable there, but on Sunday he seemed to be amendable to a move back to shortstop if it meant getting Donovan Solano's bat in the lineup. The 31-year-old moved to shortstop mid-game Sunday versus the Giants after the Padres pinch-hit for shortstop Mason McCoy when they were trailing by five runs at the time. Bogaerts has now been used at shortstop four times this season but has not made a start there.
