The Blackhawks promoted Teply from their taxi squad to their active roster Friday.
Teply spent the 2019-20 campaign with the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL, racking up 29 goals and 63 points in 53 games. He'll likely make his NHL debut at some point this season, but Teply won't be in the lineup for Friday's clash with Columbus.
