Wright (shoulder) is active ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. The 2023 first-round pick out of Tennessee seemed to be trending in the wrong direction to play earlier in the week, as he went from a limited participant in Wednesday's practice to a DNP on Thursday. Wright (shoulder) did not participate in Thursday's practice. Wright may have suffered a shoulder injury during the Bears' Week 6 loss to the Vikings, as he popped up on the team's injury report Wednesday. Chicago's rookie tackle could be trending in the wrong direction to play this coming Sunday against the Raiders, going from limited participation in Wednesday's practice to non-participant status Thursday.... Bears' Darnell Wright: Goes 10th overall to Chicago
The Bears selected Wright in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft, 10th overall. While Wright might not be able to line up at left tackle in all schemes -- his modest reach (33 and 3/4-inch arms) being the main concern -- the former Tennessee standout should be fine at right tackle at the very least. While his reach isn't ideal for a tackle, Wright is a memorably massive lineman (6-foot-5, 333 pounds) with exceptional athleticism (5.01-second 40-yard dash, 114-inch broad jump).
