McCrary was cut from the Browns' practice squad Tuesday, Adam Caplan of Fox Sports reports.
The 24-year-old out of Saginaw Valley State was brought in last week to ensure depth at running back if Jerome Ford was unable to suit up Sunday, and the team has since decided to move on. In a corresponding move, the Browns signed running back Kenyan Drake to their practice squad Tuesday.
