Claxton (hamstring) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Raptors, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Claxton is trending in the right direction, coach Jordi Fernandez told Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com, but they won't rush the center back for the preseason finale. That said, the Nets expect Claxton to be ready for the regular-season opener against the Hawks next Wednesday.
