Game Recap
The Oklahoma Sooners won their last game against the Baylor Bears, and it was the same story this time around. The Sooners came out on top against Baylor by a score of 27-14 on Saturday. Despite the win, that's the fewest points Oklahoma has scored all season.
No one had a standout game offensively for Oklahoma, but they got scores from FB Brayden Willis, WR Theo Wease, and RB Rhamondre Stevenson. Oklahoma also got a nice defensive effort from DL Isaiah Thomas, who took down the quarterback three times.
Like Oklahoma, the Bears didn't have any clear offensive standouts, but they got two touchdowns from QB Charlie Brewer.
The Sooners' victory brought them up to 7-2. Baylor has fallen quite a ways from their 11-3 record from last season and are now 2-6.
Oklahoma will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET next Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. West Virginia took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Oklahoma's good fortune. The Bears will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 7 p.m. ET. Like Baylor, Oklahoma State is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 29-22 to the TCU Horned Frogs.
