Providence coach Ed Cooley left Saturday's game at Xavier because of an unspecified condition and was transported to a local hospital, a school spokesperson told CBSSports.com.

The Providence Journal reported Cooley was complaining of breathing and stomach issues. A school spokesperson told CBSSports.com that Cooley would go through testing at a local hospital, and the Providence Journal reported he did not travel home with the Friars.

Cooley's status will be updated Sunday.

Providence ultimately lost the game 78-69.

The Friars are now 17-7 overall, 7-4 in the Big East.
