Nevada @ Fresno State

Current Records: Nevada 9-10; Fresno State 15-6

What to Know

The Fresno State Bulldogs haven't won a game against the Nevada Wolf Pack since Jan. 21 of 2017, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Friday. The Bulldogs and Nevada will face off in a Mountain West battle at 11 p.m. ET at Save Mart Center. Fresno State should still be feeling good after a big victory, while the Wolf Pack will be looking to right the ship.

Fresno State took their contest against the San Jose State Spartans on Tuesday by a conclusive 73-43 score. Fresno State relied on the efforts of forward Orlando Robinson, who had 18 points and five assists along with five rebounds, and guard Leo Colimerio, who had 11 points in addition to six boards.

Meanwhile, Nevada ended up a good deal behind the UNLV Rebels when they played on Tuesday, losing 69-58. Nevada got double-digit scores from four players: guard Kenan Blackshear (17), guard Desmond Cambridge Jr. (14), center Will Baker (12), and forward Tre Coleman (10). This also makes it three games in a row in which Desmond Cambridge Jr. has had at least three steals.

The Bulldogs are the favorite in this one, with an expected 10-point margin of victory. There could be an interesting gambling play in this one, as they have done quite well against the spread at home this season while the Wolf Pack have struggled against the spread on the road.

Fresno State's win brought them up to 15-6 while Nevada's defeat pulled them down to 9-10. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Fresno State comes into the matchup boasting the fifth fewest points allowed per game in college basketball at 57.5. On the other end of the spectrum, Nevada is 30th worst in college basketball in points allowed per game, with 75.2 on average. So the cards are definitely stacked against the Wolf Pack.
