Lowry (pectoral) signed a contract with the Steelers on Monday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Lowry played nine games for the Vikings last season after spending the first seven years of his career with the Packers. The Northwestern product had 14 tackles last season while not recording a sack for the first time since 2019.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Dean Lowry: Gets let go
Lowry (pectoral) was released by the Vikings on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Lowry joined Minnesota on a two-year deal last spring and was unable to make an impact with his new team. The Northwestern product appeared in nine games before suffering a torn pectoral muscle, which ended his season early, and recorded 14 combined tackles and a pass defended.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Dean Lowry: Won't play Sunday
Lowry (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints. Lowry was able to string together back-to-back limited practice sessions but was listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest. Jonathan Bullard is the most likely candidate for more defensive snaps, but Jaquelin Roy could see an uptick as well.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Dean Lowry: Doubtful for Sunday vs. Saints
Lowry (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game versus New Orleans. Lowry appears to be trending toward missing his second straight game as he works through a groin injury he sustained in Week 8 at Green Bay. If he can't go, Jonathan Bullard will probably see extra work at defensive end.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Dean Lowry: Four tackles in Vikings debut
Lowry started at defensive end and had four tackles in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay. Lowry had a lackluster Vikings debut. He didn't register any stats in the pass rush and struggled in run defense with a missed tackle. The Vikings are counting on him to provide stability on the defensive front after signing him as a free agent.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Dean Lowry: Agrees to deal with Minnesota
Minnesota and Lowry (calf) agreed to terms on a two-year, $8.5 million deal Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Lowry ended the 2022 campaign on injured reserve with a calf injury he suffered during the Packers' Christmas Day win over Miami. The 2016 fourth-round pick has 15.5 sacks across 80 career starts in seven seasons with Green Bay and should garner a solid role along Minnesota's defensive line in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Returns from PUP list
Green Bay activated Lowry off the PUP list Wednesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. There was never much concern that Lowry would miss extended time -- he hasn't missed a game since his rookie season in 2016. He figures to be a starter and frequent contributor for the Packers' defensive line this season as he looks to build off of a career-high five sacks in 2021.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Active Sunday
Lowry (hamstring) is active Sunday against the Chiefs, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports. Lowry will give it a go Sunday after getting in limited practices throughout the week. He's played 77 consecutive games coming into Week 9 and will now make it 78.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Another sack Sunday
Lowry recorded four tackles (two solo) and a sack across 34 defensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Lions. Lowry now has sacks in back-to-back contests, bringing his season total to three. He has also seen the highest defensive snap count of all Green Bay's defensive ends this season, playing in 57 percent of the snaps on the year.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Considered questionable
The Packers have listed Lowry (ankle) as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Vikings, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Lowry has not missed a game yet this season, but an ankle injury has put that streak in jeopardy. If he were to ultimately get ruled out, Montravius Adams would presumably fill in at defensive end.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Has 10 starts through 10 games
Lowry had three tackles (one solo) in Sunday's victory over the Panthers. Lowry is up to 28 tackles (13 solo) in 10 games into the season. He has not recorded a sack nor been involved in any turnovers, but he has been a key contributor on the Green Bay defense, starting all 10 games while playing 65.3 percent of the defensive snaps -- the second most among Packers defensive linemen.... Packers' Dean Lowry: Gets long-term commitment
The Packers and Lowry reached an agreement on a contract extension Tuesday. Since he was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 draft, Lowry has slowly but surely established himself as a regular on the Packers' D-line, earning 65.5 percent of the defensive snaps last season. The workload translated to 44 tackles, three sacks, three pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. On top of that, he's been a model of health through three campaigns, seeing just one healthy scratch during that span. After getting three additional years on the deal, Lowry will comprise an imposing front with Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels in the fall.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Adds third sack
Lowry recorded two tackles and a sack during Sunday's 20-17 loss to Arizona. Lowry was on the field for 79 percent of the team's defensive snaps and was able to record his second sack in as many games. The third-year defensive end now has three sacks on the season with all of them coming over the last four weeks.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Records first sack of season
Lowry had six tackles (five solo) and a sack in Sunday's victory over the Dolphins. Lowry was on the field for just 57 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps Sunday, but he still matched his tackle total from the previous three games combined and notched his first sack of 2018.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Avoids serious knee injury
Lowry avoided any sort of serious knee injury during Saturday's exhibition against the Redskins, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Lowry knee issue is only viewed as a short-term issue, so he should still be on track to open the season as a starter along the defensive line. If the Packers opt to play it safe with Lowry over the final two preseason contests, Ricky Jean-Francois could see additional reps at defensive end.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Posts two sacks in rookie season
Lowry recorded eight tackles and two sacks across 15 games during his rookie season in 2016. The Packers took Lowry in the fourth round of last year's draft as he's a great fit for a 3-4 defense as a five-technique defensive end. Although it took him some time to acclimate to the professional game, Lowry posted sacks in back-to-back games during Week 14 and Week 15, which represented the first and second of his career, respectively. However, with starters Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels under contract through 2019, Lowry likely doesn't have chance of cracking the starting lineup anytime soon.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Dean Lowry: Records sack for second week in a row
Lowry made two tackles (both solo) and recorded a sack in Sunday's victory over the Seahawks. Lowry was a non-factor for much of the early portion of the 2016 campaign, but his role has increased of late, and he has now recorded a sack in back-to-back games.... See More ... See Less
