Twins' Brock Stewart: Begins light activity
Stewart (shoulder) has been making plyo ball throws as he builds up for a rehab assignment, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Stewart was placed on the IL on May 3 with right shoulder tendinitis and then had a platelet-rich plasma injection. It sounds like he's making progress but he's still a ways away from a rehab assignment as he likely needs to throw off a mound first.

Twins' Brock Stewart: Gets PRP injection for shoulder
Twins athletic trainer Nick Paparesta said Tuesday that Stewart didn't resume throwing this past weekend as anticipated and has since received a platelet-rich plasma injection for his right shoulder, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. "We have to get his arm strength where it needs to be," Paparesta said of Stewart. "We have to get his range of motion where it needs to be ... But we hope to see him throwing here in the short term."
Paparesta admitted that he might have initially been overzealous with his prediction that Stewart would start throwing again last weekend, but the right-hander doesn't seem to have suffered any major setback in his recovery from tendinitis. Once the injection takes full effect within the next few days, Stewart could start playing catch before gradually advancing to throwing off a mound and facing hitters. When he returns from the 15-day injured list, Stewart will be a key part of the bridge to closer Jhoan Duran.

Twins' Brock Stewart: MRI on shoulder returns clean
Stewart said a recent MRI on his right shoulder "looked good," and he's hopeful to resume throwing this weekend, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Stewart was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder tendinitis, and fortunately for him, the injury doesn't look to be any more significant than that. If Stewart is able to resume playing catch this weekend, he would have an outside chance at returning from the IL when first eligible May 17. Stewart recorded an 0.68 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across 13.1 innings while gathering seven holds in 13 appearances prior to landing on the shelf.

Twins' Brock Stewart: Lands on IL
The Twins placed Stewart on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder tendinitis.
Stewart's scoreless streak came to an end during Wednesday's win over the White Sox, as he allowed a home run to Korey Lee in the seventh inning. He'll now miss at least the next two weeks due to his shoulder, leaving Minnesota without one of its most dominant relievers. Kody Funderburk was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move.
