Rodgers was reinstated by the NFL on Tuesday after he was suspended for the 2023 season for violating the NFL's gambling policy, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Rodgers was originally suspended in June of 2023 after making bets on NFL games, which led to him being waived by the Colts. Despite the suspension, the UMass product inked a new deal with the Eagles two months later. With his suspension lifted, Rodgers will now be able to participate in all team activities for the first time since he signed with Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less

Isaiah Rodgers: Cut following gambling ban
The Colts waived Rodgers on Thursday. Earlier Thursday, Rodgers was officially suspended indefinitely for gambling on NFL games, including bets placed on his own team, and the Colts apparently were ready to cut him once the year-long ban was announced by the league. The 25-year-old was initially expected to take over as a starting cornerback in Indy this year, but his career now may be hanging in the balance. We won't see Rodgers again until at least the 2024 season. Rodgers started nine games on defense last year and has played 897 defensive snaps over the last two years.... See More ... See Less -
Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Suspended for at least 2023 season
Rodgers has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL -- through at least the 2023 season -- for betting on NFL games last season, ESPN reports. Rodgers made upwards of 100 bets on NFL games, including one on the Colts, according to the ESPN report. Rodgers acknowledged the violations earlier this month on a social media post where he said he made an error in judgement. The 25-year-old, who is recovering from a knee injury sustained back in December, looked primed for a starting cornerback role following Indianapolis' offseason trade of Stephon Gilmore to Dallas.... Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Suffers concussion
Rodgers entered the concussion protocol Saturday after exiting Indianapolis' preseason game against the Bills with a head injury, Alexa Ross of CBS 4 Indy reports. Rodgers appeared to suffer a head injury after coming down with an interception during the first half of Saturday exhibition game, according to Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star. The 24-year-old cornerback registered 49 tackles, seven passes defended and three interceptions over 17 regular-season games with Indianapolis last season, and the team may be overly cautious in handling his health over the remainder of the preseason.... Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Limited role on defense
Rodgers had one tackle and played six snaps on defense in Sunday's loss to Seattle. He had two kick returns for 41 yards. Rodgers will have a reserve role in the secondary and may be limited to special teams when Xavier Rhodes returns from a calf injury. He'll work as Indy's primary kickoff returner.... See More ... Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Listed as questionable
Rodgers (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Rodgers was not on the team's original injury report released Friday, but he has been added Saturday. He missed last week's game due to a knee issue but was subsequently a full participant at practice this week. His status will now need to be monitored heading into kickoff.... See More ... See Less -
Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Inactive Week 11
Rodgers (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against Green Bay. Rodgers popped up on the injury report Friday with the knee issue and won't be available Week 11. The Colts will need to find a replacement in the return game for the 22-year-old.... See More ... See Less -
Colts' Isaiah Rodgers: Set for NFL debut
Rodgers (leg) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Rodgers came into the game designated as questionable after dealing with the leg injury at the tail end of training camp. Now healthy, the 2020 sixth-round pick could handle some return duties, but will certainly operate in a depth role on defense.... See More ... See Less
