    Dominguez (elbow) will start his rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.comh reports.

    Yankees manager Aaron Boone noted Saturday that Dominguez will be the DH for the first two weeks of the assignment. Dominguez has continued to progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and he can spend a maximum of 20 days on his rehab assignment before the Yankees will have to activate him. Dominguez could then be optioned for additional time to knock off the rust.

    Manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Dominguez (elbow) is "inside two weeks" to begin a rehab assignment, Chris Kirschner of The Athleticreports.

    The 21-year-old's rehab from Tommy John surgery has apparently been progressing nicely, and he's close to being cleared for game action. Dominguez will require a lengthy rehab assignment before being reinstated, but he appears on track to return before the All-Star break.

    Dominguez continues to progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery from last September, and Boone noted that the 21-year-old is "a few weeks" away from playing in a minor-league rehab game. Dominguez appeared in eight games with the Yankees last season, going 8-for-31 with four home runs and seven RBI over that span.
