Kepler extended his hitting streak to 11 games -- he's recorded at least one hit in 15 of his last 16 contests, going 23-for-53 (.434) in that span. Twins' Max Kepler: Held out again versus southpaw
Kepler is out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the White Sox.
Left-hander Garrett Crochet is toeing the slab for the White Sox, so the lefty-hitting Kepler will begin Monday's game on the bench. Kepler hasn't been a strict platoon bat in his career, but he has now been out of the lineup each of the four times the Twins have faced a southpaw since he returned from the 10-day injured list. Manuel Margot will get the start in right field Monday.

Twins' Max Kepler: Launches first homer
Kepler went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Angels.
Kepler drew a bases-loaded walk in the first inning to send home the Twins' first run of the game and added a leadoff single in his next at-bat before coming around to score on a Carlos Santana double. The outfielder then launched his first homer of the season in the sixth to increase Minnesota's lead, giving him just his third multi-hit performance of the campaign. However, all three of those performances have come over his last six games, raising his batting average from .125 to .231 over that stretch.
