Encarnacion-Strand was held out of Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers due to a left hand injury suffered in Saturday's 8-4 win, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Encarnacion-Strand was struck on his left hand by a pitch Saturday. According to manager David Bell, X-rays showed Encarnacion-Strand didn't sustain a fracture, though imaging revealed evidence of a previous fracture that may be contributing to his soreness. Spencer Steer filled in at first base Sunday for Encarnacion-Strand, who could be out a "few days," per Bell.
