McDermott notched zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in six minutes during Friday's 129-120 loss to the Cavaliers. McDermott continues to be a non-factor for the Pacers, playing fewer than 10 minutes for the fourth time in the past six games. At this point in his career, McDermott is nothing more than a depth piece on any squad, who can occasionally be streamed in for his perimeter scoring.... See More ... See Less

Pacers' Doug McDermott: Solid numbers off bench in return
McDermott (calf) recorded nine points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 16 minutes Wednesday in the Pacers' 122-103 win over the Pistons. McDermott had missed the Pacers' past 10 games with a right calf strain but returned to action Wednesday and gave Indiana some quality minutes off the bench. Despite the solid showing against Detroit, McDermott is unlikely to see his role grow unless the Pacers are without starting forwards Aaron Nesmith and Pascal Siakam for a given game.... See More ... Pacers' Doug McDermott: Good to go Wednesday
McDermott (calf) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pistons. McDermott will snap a 10-game absence due to a right calf strain. He's been a sporadic producer for Indiana this season. Over his last 18 healthy appearances, McDermott has averaged 4.7 points and 1.0 assists in 13.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Questionable for Wednesday
McDermott (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Pistons, Jeremiah Johnson of Bally Sports Indiana reports. McDermott's absence streak is in danger of being extended to 11 games Wednesday due to a right calf strain. However, the veteran forward being initially listed as questionable instead of out is a good sign that he is nearing a return to action.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Another absence coming
McDermott (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Cleveland. McDermott will miss his 10th consecutive game due to a right calf strain. The absences of McDermott and Bennedict Mathurin (shoulder) should continue to clear a spot on the second unit for rookie Ben Sheppard.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Remains out
McDermott (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nets. McDermott will miss a ninth straight game due to a right calf strain. He returned to practice Friday, and Coach Rick Carlisle said the sharpshooter is "getting close" to a return, so McDermott could be back in action Monday versus the Cavaliers.... See More ... Pacers' Doug McDermott: Returns to practice
Coach Rick Carlisle said McDermott (calf) participated in Friday's practice and is "getting close" to a return, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. McDermott has missed Indiana's last eight contests due to a right calf strain. However, the veteran forward's return to practice is a good sign toward his availability against the Nets on Saturday. McDermott's official status should be released Friday night.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Out again Wednesday
McDermott (calf) won't play Wednesday against the Bulls. McDermott will be sidelined for an eighth straight game due to a right calf strain. Pacers' Doug McDermott: Remains out Sunday

Pacers' Doug McDermott: Out again Thursday
McDermott (calf) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Timberwolves. McDermott will miss a fifth straight game due to a right calf strain. His next chance to suit up will come Sunday in Orlando, but he can be considered doubtful, barring a return to practice.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Remains out Tuesday
McDermott (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks. McDermott is slated to miss a fourth straight game due to a right calf strain. Coach Rick Carlisle said the sharpshooter would miss at least a few contests last week, so McDermott can be considered doubtful, at best, until he returns to practice.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Out multiple games
Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said McDermott (calf) -- who has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans -- will miss a few contests, Tony East of SI.com reports. Based on Carlisle's comments, McDermott appears safe to rule out for the rest of the week, which means the veteran forward will be sidelined Friday in New Orleans and Sunday in San Antonio. McDermott's upcoming absence should keep a spot in the rotation open for rookie Ben Sheppard.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Ruled out
McDermott (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. McDermott will miss at least one game after suffering a calf injury during the second quarter of Monday's loss to Toronto. Ben Sheppard is a candidate for increased playing time in McDermott's absence, though Aaron Nesmith's potential return could mean fewer minutes for the reserves overall.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Won't return Monday
McDermott won't return to Monday's contest against Toronto due to right calf soreness. He went scoreless (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and recorded no other statistics over five minutes of court time. McDermott suffered the injury early in the second quarter and checked out with 9:59 remaining in the period. The Pacers may provide an update on McDermott's condition after the game, but for the time being, he can be viewed as questionable ahead of the team's next game Wednesday versus New Orleans.... Pacers' Doug McDermott: Not on injury report
McDermott (trade pending) is not on the injury report for Saturday's game against New York. McDermott was acquired from the Spurs at the trade dealing with the Pacers looking to add more floor spacing. The veteran sharpshooter is likely to have a limited role at best when the Pacers are at full strength.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Sent to Indiana
The Pacers acquired McDermott from the Spurs on Thursday in exchange for a 2029 second-round pick and Marcus Morris, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. McDermott makes for a fairly low-stakes addition for Indiana, who was looking to pick up a sharpshooter to help fuel a playoff run. While he could see a marginally increased role in Indiana, McDermott is still likely to remain largely irrelevant for fantasy purposes, as was the case in San Antonio.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Doug McDermott: Good to go
McDermott (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Hawks. McDermott will suit up Monday after missing Saturday's loss to Chicago due to a right ankle sprain. He posted exactly 14 points and two rebounds in each of his last two appearances and figures to handle a modest bench role versus Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Doug McDermott: Iffy for Monday
McDermott (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Hawks, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. The Spurs will likely re-evaluate McDermott during Monday's morning shootaround before determining if he'll be forced to miss a second straight game due to a right ankle sprain. The veteran forward hasn't been a major part of San Antonio's rotation of late, having played 20 minutes or fewer in 14 of his last 15 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Doug McDermott: Not playing Saturday
McDermott (ankle) has been ruled out of Saturday's game against Chicago. McDermott sprained his right ankle in Friday's 135-99 win over the Hornets, and the second half of a back-to-back comes too soon for him to return. The Spurs will miss his outside shooting, so Cedi Osman could see an increased role. McDermott's next chance to play will come against the Hawks on Monday as the Spurs continue their road trip through the Eastern Conference.... See More ... See Less

Scott Agness@ScottAgness4H agoOn the Pacers’ first injury report for Round 2 vs Knicks, Tyrese Haliburton is questionable with low back spasms. (No surprise. It’s the 4th straight game he’s had that designation.) And just like Mathurin had season-ending surgery, so did Julius Randle & Bojan Bogdanovic.
