Brandon Jennings: Headed to Russia
Jennings agreed to a contract Monday with BC Zenit Saint Petersburg of the Russian VTB United League, Nikos Varlas of EuroHoops.net reports.
After being cut by the Bucks earlier this month, the 28-year-old point guard was unlikely to secure much more than a training-camp invite from an NBA team, so he'll head overseas and take a deal that presumably nets him more guaranteed money. Jennings' contract with the Russian club likely contains an opt-out clause that would allow him to return to the NBA at some point in 2018-19, so he could resurface in North America later in the season if a team wants to add experienced depth to its backcourt. Jennings suited up in 14 games at the NBA level over the past campaign, averaging 5.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per contest.

Brandon Jennings: Waived by Milwaukee
Jennings was waived by the Bucks on Wednesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
The Bucks waited until the final day to make a decision on Jennings' contract, which included an Aug. 1 guarantee date. Milwaukee will let the former first-round pick walk as a free agent after he spent the latter part of last season back where his NBA career began in 2009. Jennings appeared in only 14 games for the Bucks, logging 14.6 minutes per contest and averaging 5.2 points and 3.1 assists per game. While the Bucks don't have room for Jennings on their roster, the 28-year-old will look elsewhere to fill a backup role on what would likely be a minimum or partially guaranteed contract.

Bucks' Brandon Jennings: Contract guarantee date pushed back
Updating a previous report, Jennings' guarantee date for his $2.2 million contract has been pushed back, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
It was originally reported that Jennings wouldn't be waived Sunday, which meant his $2.2 million contract would then guarantee. However, it appears the Bucks have simply bought themselves more time on a decision and are moving the date back. With the likes of Eric Bledsoe, Matthew Dellavedova and Malcolm Brogdon still on the roster, Milwaukee wouldn't have much trouble replacing the 14.6 minutes per game Jennings averaged a season ago. According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN, the new date for Jennings' guarantee decision will be Aug. 1.

Jennings' $2.2 million contract for the 2018-19 season will be guaranteed by the Bucks on Sunday, Marc J. Spears of ESPN reports.
Jennings signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the Bucks in March of last season, playing well enough during that stretch of games to be inked to a deal for the rest of the season. That included a non-guaranteed salary for the upcoming campaign as well, which the Bucks will now opt into. That means Jennings should be back in a reserve capacity after averaging 5.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds across 14.6 minutes in 14 games. The Bucks still have the likes of Eric Bledsoe, Matthew Dellavedova and Malcolm Brogdon in the backcourt, so Jennings will likely have a hard time becoming fantasy relevant.

Bucks' Brandon Jennings: Active for Game 3
Jennings has been activated for Friday's Game 3 against the Celtics, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
With John Henson (back) being sidelined, coach Joe Prunty had the option to activate a player, choosing Jennings, who hasn't seen a minute of playoff action through two games. In 14 regular-season contests with Milwaukee this season, he averaged 5.2 points and 3.1 assists in 14.6 minutes per game while shooting 37.5 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from distance.

Bucks' Brandon Jennings: Invisible in overtime loss Sunday
Jennings played just three minutes and failed to record a single stat in Sunday's 128-125 loss to Denver.
Jennings barely left the bench Sunday, as the Bucks went with basically an eight-man rotation. After starring in his first game for the Bucks, he has faded terribly of late. He has scored in double-digits just once since that opening game despite seeing regular minutes in the teens. He is not a standard league option and is best left alone in basically all formats.

Jennings' second 10-day contract expired following Friday's win over the Lakers, forcing the Bucks to either sign him for the rest of the season or release him back into the free agent pool. Jennings scored two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) to go along with one rebound and one assist across nine minutes during Wednesday's 126-117 loss to the Magic.
Jennings flirted with a triple-double Monday in a blowout win over Memphis, but he played sparingly in Wednesday's contest as his side trialed for much of the evening. Fantasy owners who overreacted to the context of Jennings previous effort were undoubtedly burned by this performance, which should indicate that he's still far from a reliable fantasy asset.

Jennings was brought in on a 10-day contract by the Bucks, and with Matthew Dellavedova (ankle) suffering a recent setback and Malcolm Brogdon (quad) still sidelined, the former 10th overall pick of Milwaukee (back in 2009) went to work off the bench. Jennings, who boasts career averages of 14.3 points (38.8 FG, 34.6 3Pt, 79.5 FT), 5.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 threes, 1.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game, hasn't averaged double figures in scoring since 2014-15, while the Grizzlies have lost 18 straight games. As a result, it might be wise to temper expectations, though Jennings has obvious upside thanks to his comfortability with the Bucks and their need for bench production. With the lowly Magic and Hawks on tap for Wednesday and Saturday, Jennings makes for an intriguing option in daily leagues.

Bucks' Brandon Jennings: Set to make season debut Monday
Jennings is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Grizzlies, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Jennings was brought in by the Bucks on a 10-day contract over the weekend and coach Joe Prunty said during his pregame press conference that he was going to try and get him some minutes off the bench. However, Prunty did acknowledge that it will ultimately depend on the flow of the game, so there's still a chance Jennings fails to get on the court. While Jennings will provide some solid depth without Matthew Dellavedova (ankle) and Malcolm Brogdon (quad), he's still unlikely to become a fantasy contributor in the near future.

Jennings had 25 points (8-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 assists, five rebounds and two steals during Monday's 127-123 win over Delaware.
Jennings was coming a 0-for-10 shooting night and still struggled somewhat (34.8 percent) despite reaching the 25-point mark. In addition, the 6-1 guard accounted for his first double-double of the season Monday. The former lottery draft pick has recorded 10 assists in each of his last two games. Through his first six games with the Herd, Jennings is currently averaging 22.2 points and 8.2 assists.

Brandon Jennings: Caps off great first week
Jennings registered 29 points (8-24 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 9-10 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and two steals during Sunday's 129-119 loss to host Raptors 905.
Jennings capped off his first week with the Herd in a superb way, scoring 29 while dishing out eight assists as compared to turning the ball over just twice. The former lottery draft pick has somewhat struggled from the field though, shooting 35.4 percent during his last two outings. As long as he plays, he will see the majority of the shot attempts for the Herd. The seventh-year player is averaging 27.9 points, 6.7 assists and 5.0 rebounds through three games.

Brandon Jennings: 18 free-throw attempts in win
Jennings recorded 29 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 15-18 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal during Friday's 115-109 win at Long Island.
In his second game with the Herd, Jennings had a rough shooting night, shooting only 37.5 percent from the floor. However, the seventh-year player managed to get to the free-throw line 18 times, converting 15. It's very likely that Jennings should continue to see the majority of the Herd's offense, as he has proven through it his first two games with the team.

Brandon Jennings: Shines in Wisconsin debut
Jennings tallied a team-high 31 points (11-21 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and added eight assists, three rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes in his debut for the G League's Wisconsin Herd in their 128-110 loss to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Wednesday.
A lottery pick of the Bucks in 2009, Jennings was selected by the organization's G League affiliate after wrapping up a stint in the Chinese Basketball Association earlier this season. Jennings reported to the G League with the hope of ginning up interest from NBA teams in the second half of the season, but so long as he remains with the Herd, he should remain a high-usage player and one of the team's top fantasy options. Unfortunately, Jennings displayed the downside Wednesday of handling such a large portion of a team's possessions, turning the ball over a game-high eight times.

Brandon Jennings: Inks deal with Herd
Jennings signed a contract with the Herd on Tuesday.
The former 10th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Jennings spent his first four years on the Bucks, averaging 17.0 points, 5.7 assists and 1.5 steals across 34.6 minutes per game while shooting 39.4 percent from the field. He was subsequently moved to Detroit in a sign-and-trade, where he later tore his Achilles during the 2014-15 season. Since recovering from the injury, he's played in 129 NBA games, shooting just 31.9 percent from the field. His struggles forced him to move on to China over this past summer, where he averaged 27.9 points (43.2 percent), 6.8 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 steals across 35.0 minutes in 13 games. The 28-year-old will presumably use his time on the Herd as a stepping stone in hopes of making an NBA comeback, though it seems unlikely he would be a significant fantasy contributor even if he makes it back to the Association.

Brandon Jennings: Signs G-League contract
Jennings has signed a G-League contract, Adam Johnson of 2 Ways & 10 Days reports. Per the nature of G-League contracts, Jennings does not sign directly with a team at first. The contract is signed with the league itself, allowing players to go through the waiver process.
Jennings played 81 games between the Knicks and Wizards last season, but ultimately struggled, averaging 7.1 points (35.9 percent), 4.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds across 22.2 minutes per game. As a result, he signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with China Shanxi in July. In 13 games for the team this season, he averaged 27.9 points (43.2 percent), 6.8 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 steals across 35.0 minutes. Jennings, at 28 years old, will presumably attempt to play his way back into the NBA.
