Huston Street: Retires after 13 seasons
Street announced his retirement after 13 seasons, Pedro Moura of The Athletic reports.
The retirement was largely expected, as the 35-year-old last pitched July 2, 2017. Street finishes his career with 665 strikeouts, 324 saves and a 2.95 ERA in 668 appearances. The 35-year-old was one of the more dominant closers from 2009-15, racking up 221 saves en route to the 19th-highest save total in MLB history.

Huston Street: Expects to retire
Street (groin) says he is probably retiring, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
Street pitched only four innings in the majors last season, as he was sidelined for most of the year with groin and shoulder issues. He is currently not in shape to join a team, but says that if a winning team wants him this summer, he could be ready to play. If this is indeed the end for Street, he'll retire after a 13-year major-league career in which he recorded 324 saves, the 17th-highest total in major-league history.

Angels' Huston Street: Hits open market
Street (groin) will become a free agent after the Angels declined to pick up his club option Thursday.
As expected, the Angels will let Street hit the open market as opposed to picking up his $10 million option for the 2018 season. The veteran reliever tossed just four innings in 2017 as he battled a multitude of injuries. He'll look to link up with another club and put together a bounce-back performance in 2018.

Angels' Huston Street: Transferred to 60-day DL
Street (groin) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Tuesday.
This does not change Street's return timetable, as he is not eligible to return until Sept. 1 and is still working through a throwing program. Eric Young's contract was selected, so the Angels needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. Street is unlikely to provide much fantasy value down the stretch, even if he returns in early September. Cam Bedrosian and Blake Parker figure to handle the ninth-inning duties over the rest of the season.

Angels' Huston Street: Resumes throwing Thursday
Street (groin), who was shut down with a mild rotator cuff strain at the beginning of August, resumed throwing Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Street has been plagued by a slew of injuries this season, allowing him to pitch just four innings for the big club. He'll head to Arizona to continue his throwing program, and barring any setbacks, the hope is that he'll be able to return to the Angels for the last couple weeks of the season.

Angels' Huston Street: Suffers rotator cuff strain
Street (groin) was diagnosed with a mild rotator cuff strain Tuesday, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Street has been on the disabled list with a groin injury since early July, but recently began complaining of shoulder discomfort as well. The veteran reliever underwent an MRI on Tuesday that officially revealed that the 33-year-old is dealing with a mild rotator cuff strain in addition to his groin injury. It's unclear how long he'll remain out with the new injury, but it appears that Street is a ways away from rejoining the Angels' bullpen.

Angels' Huston Street: Hasn't resumed throwing
Street (groin) has yet to resume throwing despite being eligible to return from the disabled list, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Street expressed confidence in his ability to return from a minor groin injury following the All-Star break, but that goal appeared to be too lofty for the oft-injured reliever. Manager Mike Scioscia stated that the 33-year-old's injury has improved, which rules out any sort of setback, but a clear timetable for a return has not been set.

Street (groin) is confident he can return from the disabled list following the All-Star break, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Street added that his return may come a few days after he is eligible if the Angels feel that he needs to undergo a short rehab stint. A quick return would be a positive omen for the oft-injured reliever, as he was effective upon his initial return from the disabled list -- albeit in a small sample size -- throwing four scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Street isn't a great prospective pickup for those hunting saves given Bud Norris' sustained success as the Halos' closer this season.

Angels' Huston Street: Lands on disabled list
Street (groin) was placed on the 10-day DL retroactive to June 3.
Street will hit the shelf as the Angels recall the services of Eduardo Paredes from Triple-A Salt Lake to provide depth out of the bullpen. After returning from the 60-day DL on June 22 due to a lat and triceps issue, Street has worked four unblemished innings, striking out three and only allowing three baserunners in the process. There hasn't been a clear timetable for Street's return, but he will be eligible to come off the disabled list following the All-Star break.

Street tossed a perfect seventh inning with one strikeout in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.
Pitching in the seventh with a four-run deficit, Street retired Trayce Thompson, Mike Freeman and Chase Utley on a total of nine pitches. He has now turned in back-to-back perfect frames since returning from lat and triceps issues, but Street's role is unsettled, as is the case with the entire Angels bullpen. Perhaps the 33-year-old will work into the save mix eventually, but Blake Parker (who recorded the last save for the Angels), Cam Bedrosian, David Hernandez and Kenyan Middleton are all factors at the back end, and Bud Norris (knee) is inching closer to a return.

Angels' Huston Street: Fires scoreless frame in 2017 debut
Street (lat/triceps) fired a perfect inning Friday, striking out one in a loss to the Red Sox.
It was the veteran's first appearance since being activated from the 60-day disabled list Thursday. Street looked sharp, needing just 11 pitches to retire the side with a fastball that sat in the 88-90 mph range. The 33-year-old wasn't expected to assume closing duties right off the bat, but given the fluid situation in the ninth following Bud Norris' (knee) placement on the disabled list, Street is worth consideration as a speculative add for saves.

Street (lat, triceps) was reinstated from the 60-day DL on Thursday prior to the game against New York.
For the time being, Cam Bedrosian is still expected to be the closer for the Angels while Street works as more of a setup man. He could conceivably work his way into the closer's role but Street will have to earn it. During four rehab appearances, Street yielded just one hit and one walk while striking out three in four innings of work.

The embattled reliever is with the team Wednesday, but the team will wait one more day to officially activate him. Street claims that he feels completely ready to return to the Halos' relief corps, but his role is still up in the air. Cam Bedrosian began the season as the closer and hasn't allowed a single run all season, although Street's track record in the ninth inning is very impressive. The Angels' plans should become evident when a save situation arises in the coming days, but it could drastically affect the 33-year-old's value since he doesn't have the gaudy strikeout numbers to make him attractive without the closer's role.

Angels' Huston Street: Targeting potential return Tuesday
Street (lat, triceps) is scheduled to make two rehab appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake Lake and could rejoin the Angels for their road trip to the east coast beginning Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The 33-year-old made his first rehab appearance with High-A Inland Empire after experiencing triceps tightness during his first return attempt earlier this month. While the results weren't pretty Wednesday (three runs and two walks in a third of an inning), Street emerged from the outing feeling healthy. He is scheduled to pitch a full inning Friday and get extended to four outs Monday with the Bees, which would put him on track to rejoin the major-league roster Tuesday if all goes as planned. Even if the veteran reliever does return next week, there is no guarantee that he will slot back in as the club's closer due to Bud Norris' success while Street has been sidelined (2.59 ERA and 11 saves).

Angels' Huston Street: Struggles in rehab outing
Street (lat, triceps) gave up three runs on two hits and two walks in one-third of an inning in a rehab appearance with High-A Inland Empire on Wednesday.
A lat strain put Street on the DL to begin the season, and a bout of triceps tendinitis cut short his first attempt at a rehab assignment in late May. While he struggled against low-level competition Wednesday, there's been nothing to suggest he will have to again hit the pause button on his rehab. Look for Street to gradually work his way back up the ladder before ultimately slotting in near the back end of the Angels' bullpen.

Angels' Huston Street: To resume rehab assignment Wednesday
Street (triceps) is expected to resume a rehab assignment with High-A Inland Empire on Wednesday, Inland Empire broadcaster Steve Wendt reports.
He will pitch an inning out of the 66ers' bullpen, after not having pitched in a minor-league game since May 28. Street's rehab was recently shut down due to triceps tendinitis, and he will likely need at least a week of minor-league action before coming off the DL. Once activated, Street will likely work his way into a setup capacity with the Halos. Bud Norris has a 2.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 20:6 K:BB and six saves over his last 16.1 innings for the Angels. Meanwhile Cam Bedrosian (groin) also resumed his rehab assignment with Inland Empire this week, and will likely return to the Angels before Street.

Angels' Huston Street: Rehab shut down due to triceps tendinitis
Street's rehab assignment has been put on hold after he was diagnosed with right triceps tendinitis, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
It was reported earlier in the week that Street was on pace to be activated off the disabled list next week, but that's unlikely to be the case following Thursday's news. The Angels will shut down Street for the time being until the soreness in his arm subsides, at which point there will be a new timetable for his return. In the meantime, Bud Norris will continue to close for the Angels.

Street (back) is expecting to be activated from the disabled list sometime next week, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Street has now made three rehab appearances, including back-to-back outings over the weekend, so he appears to be close to a return to the big club. He's allowed two runs on two hits with three strikeouts in 2.2 innings during his rehab stint with Triple-A. It's unclear what role Street will resume upon activation, as Bud Norris has pitched well as the Angels' interim closer and Cam Bedrosian (groin) is nearing a return from the DL, as well.
